Jesus in Kashmir according to a Muslim Spiritual Master

Jesus in India is an English version of Masih Hindustan mein, an Urdu treatise written by the Holy Founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835 - 1908). The main thesis expounded in the treatise is Jesus' escape from an ignominious death on the Cross and his subsequent journey to India in quest of the lost tribes of Israel whom he had to gather into his fold as mentioned in the New Testament. Abundant evidence has been furnished from Christian as well as Muslim Scriptures, old medical books and books of history, including ancient Buddhistic records, to illustrate the theme. Starting upon his journey from Jerusalem and passing from thence through Nasibus and Iran, Jesus is shown to have reached Afghanistan, where he met the Jews who had settled there after their deliverance from the bondage of Nebuchadnezzar. From Afghanistan Jesus went to Kashmir, where some Israelite tribes had also settled. He made this place his home and here he died. His tomb has been traced and found in Khanyar Street, Srinagar. In the section dealing with the evidence adduced from ancient Buddhistic records, Hazrat Ahmad has resolved a question which, owing to its difficult nature, has for a long time confounded many a Western writer. These writers have been baffled by the striking resemblance that exists between Christian and Buddhistic teachings and between the life events of both Jesus and Buddha as revealed in their respective Scriptures. Some of these writers hold the view that Buddhistic teachings must somehow have reached Palestine and been assimilated by Jesus in his own sermons. But there is absolutely no historical proof to support this theory. A Russian traveller named Nicolas Notovitch stayed for quite some time with Lamas in Tibet and had their sacred books translated for him. He is of the opinion that Jesus must have come to Tibet before the crucifixion and gone back to Palestine after having imbibed Buddhistic teachings. This also is a mere statement unsupported by reliable historical evidence. Repudiating both these views, Hazrat Ahmad writes that Jesus came to India not before the event of the Cross but after it and that it was not he who borrowed Buddhistic teachings but the followers of Buddha who seem to have reproduced the entire picture of the Gospels in their books. According to Hazrat Ahmad Jesus also visited Tibet during his travels in India in search of the lost tribes of Israel. He preached his messages to Buddhistic monks, some of whom were converted Jews. The followers of Buddha were deeply impressed by his teachings and took him to be the manifestation of Buddha and their Promised Teacher. With faith in him as their Master, they mixed his teachings with their own records and ascribed it all to the Buddha. Ample evidence in support of this is furnished from ancient Buddhistic records. Masih Hindustan mein was written in 1899 and it marks the end of an era in which for centuries Muslims and Christians had believed in the ascension of Jesus to Heaven. It being the first book ever written on the subject with such a rational approach, the book produced a most profound impact. Its arguments were broadcast and in the past half-century it has achieved remarkable success in divesting Jesus of false appurtenances of divinity and in presenting him to the world merely as a divine prophet as he actually was. In Muslim circles the effect has been so marked that the Rector of the Al-Azhar University in Cairo issued a Fatwa (verdict) that according to the Holy Quran Jesus had died a natural death. Its influence on the Christian mind has also been greatly disturbing. As stated in the Introduction and also at the end of the book, Hazrat Ahmad intended to write a second part in which he would have given, besides some additional proofs of Jesus' journey to India, a comparative evaluation of the teachings of Islam and Christianity with some cogent arguments in proof of the truth of Islam as well as of his own claim to be the Promised Messiah. Though no other book among his writings bears this title, yet Hazrat Ahmad has discussed thoroughly all these issues with many more important ones concerning the truth of Islam, of his own claim and of the death of Jesus in quite a number of books which he wrote after the above-mentioned book. The present English translation was made by Qazi Abdul Hamid, formerly editor of a weekly, The Sunrise, Lahore, in which it appeared serially during 1938-39. It was first published in book form in 1944 by Nashr-o-Ishaat, Sadr Anjuman Ahmadiyya, Qadian. Besides others who have assisted us in any way in the production of this book, our thanks are due to Mr. Mauloud Ahmad Khan, a former Imam of the London Mosque, who went to great pains to gather relevant quotations from the original books which have been referred to by Hazrat Ahmad in support of his thesis. The quotations have been attached to the book in the form of an appendix. Vakil-ut-Tabshir, Tahrik-i-Jadid, Rabwah, Pakistan MAY 1962_________________

Quantum Physics.......

It is understandable that we would not be able to easily accept the idea that God is within us if we have no awareness that we are all connected... However, Bell's Theorem in quantum physics clearly demonstrates that we are all connected, thus debunking once and for all the illusion that we are a lot of separate individuals like so many marbles in a coffee can... This connection is at the very core of each of us....It is within us.........see John 14:17

Sanskrit text referring to Jesus, translated into English...

From SRI BHAVISHYA PURANA. Pratisarga parva, Chaturyuga Khanda Dvitiyadhyayah, 19th Chapter. (text 20 onwards). Ruling over the Aryans was a king called Salivahana, the grandson of Vikramaditya, who occupied the throne of his father. He defeated the Sakas who were very difficult to subdue, the Cinas, the people from Tittiri and Bahikaus who could assume any form at will. He also defeated the people from Rome and the descendants of Khuru, who were deceitful and wicked. He punished them severely and took their wealth. Salivahana thus established the boundaries dividing the separate countries of the Mlecchas and the Aryans. In this way Sindusthan came to to be known as the greatest country. That personality appointed the abode of the Mlecchas beyond the Sindhu river and to the west. ekadaa tu shakadhisho himatungari samaayayau hunadeshasya madhye vai giristhan purusam shubhano dadarsha balaram raajaa Once upon a time the subduer of the Sakas went towards Himatunga and in the middle of the Huna country (Hunadesh - the area near Manasa Sarovara or Kailash mountain in Western Tibet), the powerful king saw an auspicious man who was living on a mountain. The man's complexion was golden and his clothes were white. (Bhavishya Purana 19:22.) ko bharam iti tam praaha su hovacha mudanvitah iishaa purtagm maam viddhi kumaarigarbha sambhavam "The king asked, 'Who are you sir?' 'You should know that I am Isha Putra, the Son of God'. he replied blissfully, and 'am born of a virgin.' "(Bhavishya Purana 19:23.) mleccha dharmasya vaktaram satyavata paraayanam iti srutva nrpa praaha dharmah ko bhavato matah " 'I am the expounder of the religion of the Mlecchas and I strictly adhere to the Absolute Truth.' Hearing this the king enquired, 'What are religious principles according to you opinion?' "(Bhavishya Purana 19:24.) shruto vaaca maharaja prapte satyasya amkshaye nirmaaryaade mlechadesh mahiso 'ham samaagatah "Hearing this questions of Salivahara, Isha putra said, 'O king, when the destruction of the truth occurred, I, Masiha the prophet, came to this country of degraded people where there are no rules and regulations. Finding that fearful irreligious condition of the barbarians spreading from Mleccha-Desha, I have taken to prophethood'." (Bhavishya Purana 19:25-26.) mlecchasa sthaapito dharmo mayaa tacchrnu bhuupate maanasam nirmalam krtva malam dehe subhaasbham naiganam apamasthaya japeta nirmalam param nyayena satyavacasaa manasyai kena manavah dhyayena pujayedisham suurya-mandala-samsthitam acaloyam prabhuh sakshat- athaa suuryacalah sada "Please hear Oh king which religious principles I have established among the mlecchas. The living entity is subject to good and bad contaminations. The mind should be purified by taking recourse of proper conduct and performance of japa. By chanting the holy names one attains the highest purity. Just as the immovable sun attracts, from all directions, the elements of all living beings, the Lord of the solar region, who is fixed and all-attractive, attracts the hearts of all living creatures. Thus by following rules, speaking truthful words, by mental harmony and by meditation, Oh descendant of Manu, one should worship that immovable Lord'." (Bhavishya Purana 19:27-30.) isha muurtirt-dradi praptaa nityashuddha sivamkari ishamasihah iti ca mama nama pratishthitam "Having placed the eternally pure and auspicious form of the Supreme Lord in my heart, O protector of the earth planet, I preached these principles through the Mlecchas' own faith and thus my name became 'isha-masiha' (Jesus the Messiah)." (Bhavishya Purana 19:31.) iti shrutra sa bhuupale natraa tam mlecchapujaam sthaapayaamaasa tam tutra mlecchasthaane hi daarune "After hearing these words and paying obeisances to that person who is worshipped by the wicked, the king humbly requested him to stay there in the dreadful land of Mlecchas." (Bhavishya Purana 19:32.) svaraajyam praaptavaan raajaa hayamedhan cikirat rajyam krtva sa sasthyabdam svarga lokamu paayayau "King Salivahara, after leaving his kingdom performed an asvamedha yajna and after ruling for sixty years, went to heaven. Now please hear what happened when the king went to svargaloka." (Bhavishya Purana 19:33.) Thus ends the second chapter entitled, "the age of Salivahara" of the story of Kali Yuga of the Caturyuga Khanda also called pratisarga-parva of the wonderful Bhavishya Maha Purana. The following Sanskrit verses are taken directly from the Srimad Bhagavatam of Srila Vyasadeva, the original spiritual master, to support that what we are saying is coming from authorised the word of God that Bhavishya Purana is an authorised book written by Srila Vyasadeva. brahmam padmam vaisnavam ca saivam laingam sa-garudam naradiyam bhagavatam agneyam skanda-samhnitam bhavisyam brahma-vaivartam markandeyam sa-vamanam varaham matsyam kaurmam ca brahmandakhyam iti tri-sat These verses taken from Maha Bhagavata Purana (Srimad Bhagavatam 12:7:23-24) list the eighteen major Puranas that were written by Srila Vyasadeva in His own words. Please note that on the fifth line Bhavishya is mentioned as one of these authorised works. As we know from reading Srimad Bhagavatam, Srila Vyasadeva was instructed by his Spiritual Master, Srila Narad Muni to compile Srimad Bhagavatam after Srila Vyasadeva had completed all of his other works, thus we find it included in the verses mentioned in the Bhagavatam. The Bhagavatam itself mentions that it was complied after the disappearance of Lord Sri Krsna to His own abode, (S.B.1:1:23. and S.B.1:3:43), just prior to the Kali Yuga which is estimated by Vaisnava scholars as being some five thousand years ago, (A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. S.B 1.3.24 purport.) 3000 B.C. Even mundane western scholars and Indologists who try to deride the Vedic scriptures, and their conclusions agree that they preceded the appearance of Christ by several thousand years. We can safely say that these scriptures were all compiled and written before five thousand years ago by the literary incarnation of Godhead, Srila Vedavyasa. The above verses are also supported in the Varaha Purana, Siva Purana and Matsya Purana, so we can conclude that this incident found in Bhavishya Purana is definitely an authorised source of information

Jesus appears to the Eastern Sages after His Death.....

Jesus appears, fully materialised, to the eastern sages in the palace of Prince Ravanna in India. To the magian priests in Persia. The three wise men speak in praise of the personality of the Nazarene. 1. Ravanna, prince of India, gave a feast. His palace in Orissa was the place where men of thought from all the farther East were wont to meet. 2. Ravanna was the prince with whom child Jesus went to India many years ago. 3. The feast was made in honour of the wise men of the East. 4. Among the guests were Meng-ste, Vidyapati and Lamaas. 5. The wise men sat about the table talking of the needs of India and the world. 6. The door unto the banquet hall was in the east; a vacant chair was at the table to the east. 7. And as the wise men talked a stranger entered, unannounced, and raising up his hands in benediction said, All hail! 8. A halo rested on his head, and light, unlike the light of sun, filled all the room. 9. The wise men rose and bowed their heads and said, All hail! 10. and Jesus sat down in the vacant chair; and then the wise men knew it was the Hebrew prophet who had come. 11. And Jesus said, Behold, for I am risen from the dead. Look at my hands, my feet, my side. 12. The Roman soldiers pierced my hands and feet with nails; and then one pierced my heart. 13. They put me in a tomb, and then I wrestled with the conqueror of men. I conquered death, I stamped upon him and arose; 14. Brought immortality to light and painted on the walls of time a rainbow for the sons of men; and what I did all men shall do. 15. This gospel of the resurrection of the dead is not confined to Jew and Greek; it is the heritage of every man of every time and clime; and I am here a demonstration of the power of man. 16. Then he arose and pressed the hand of every man and of the royal host, and said, 17. Behold, I am not myth made of the fleeting winds, for I am flesh and bone and brawn; but I can cross the borderland at will. 18. And then they talked together there a long, long time. The Jesus said, 19. I go my way, but you shall go to all the world and preach the gospel of the omnipotence of men, the power of truth, the resurrection of the dead; 20. He who believes this gospel of the son of man shall never die; the dead shall live again. 21. Then Jesus disappeared, but he had sown the seed. The words of life were spoken in Orissa, and all of India heard. 22. The magian priests were in the silence in Persepolis, and Kaspar, and the magian masters who were first to greet the child of promise in the shepherd's home in Bethlehem, were with the priests. 23. And Jesus came and sat with them; a crown of light was on his head. 24. And when the silence ended Kaspar said, A master from the royal council of the Silent Brotherhood is here; let us give praise. 25. And all the priests and masters stood and said, All hail! What message from the royal council do you bring? 26. And Jesus said, My brothers of the Silent Brotherhood, peace, peace on earth; goodwill to men! 27. The problem of the ages has risen from the dead; has shown that human flesh can be transmuted into flesh divine. 28. Before the eyes of men this flesh in which I come to you was changed with speed of light from human flesh. And so I am the message that I bring to you. 29. To you I come, the first of all the race to be transmuted to the image of the AM. 30. What I have done, all men will do; and what I am, all men will be. 31. But Jesus said no more. In one short breath he told the story of his mission to the sons of men, and then he disappeared. 32. The magi said, Some time ago we read this promise, now fulfilled, upon the dial plate of heaven. 33. And then we saw this man who has just demonstrated unto us the power of man to rise from carnal flesh and blood to flesh of God, a babe in Bethlehem. 34. and after many years he came and sat with us in these same groves; 35. He told the story of his human life, of trials, sore temptations, buffetings and woes. 36. He pressed along the thorny way of life he had risen and over thrown the strongest foes of God and man; and he is now the only master of the human race whose flesh has been transmuted into flesh divine. 37. He is the God-man of to-day; but every one of earth overcome and be like him, a son of God.

What....

What you think,,you create......What you create,,you become.......What you become,, you express......What you express,, you experience......What you experience,, you Are.......What you Are,,you think..........The Circle is Complete.....

Buddah teaching Christian Wisdom.....

The following will show you that the esoteric knowledge of most religions are the same........Buddah said;" Hate is a cruel word. If men hate you, regard it not,, and you can turn the hate of men to love and mercy and goodwill,, and mercy is as large as all the heavens....And there is good enough for all...With good destroy the bad,,with generous deeds make avarice ashamed,, with truth make straight the crooked lines that error draws, for error is but truth distorted, gone astray...And pain will follow him who speaks or acts with evil thoughts, as does the wheel, the foot of him who draws the cart...He is a greater man who conquers self than he who kills a thousand men in war...He is a noble man who is himself what he believes that other men should be...Return to him who does you wrong your purest love,, and he will cease from doing wrong,, for love will purify the heart of him who is beloved as truly as it purifies the heart of him who loves....................As you can see, Jesus also taught these exact lessons...........

The Missing Years of Jesus....

The stories of the missing years of Jesus were left out of the New Testament because they would show that Jesus went to Spiritual Masters in India, Persia, Egypt, Tibet and Greece to both learn and teach....If it was shown that he had to learn spiritual knowledge, then the title of God could not be placed upon Him....Once you have become a Mystic, then you can understand the path of knowledge that Jesus had to walk, just as we all have to walk.....then you can understand the esoteric knowledge that Jesus taught was the same that Gautama the Buddah, and Krishna taught....As they were all Avatars..........

Prince Ravanna of Orissa,India, brings Jesus to India....

Prince Ravanna sees Jesus in the temple and is captivated..Hillel tells him about the boy and Ravanna gives a feast in his honor..Ravanna becomes a patron of Jesus and takes him to India to study the Brahmic religion...Hillel said that we call this child the Day Star from on high, for he has come to bring to men a light, the light of life, to lighten up the way of men and to redeem his people, Israel....Ravanna brought Jesus to Orissa,India, and the Brahmic priests were glad to welcome home the prince, and with favor, they received the Jewish boy....And Jesus was accepted in the temple, Jagannath, and here learned the Vedas and the Manic Laws...The Brahmic masters wondered at the clear conceptions of the child, and often were amazed when he explained to them the meaning of the laws...........

Spiritual Thoughts for Healing of the Eyes...

Vision is spiritual, eternal, and indestructible...We do not create vision, Instead, we manifest or release it.. We see through the eye, not with it.. The retina of the eye is stimulated by light waves from objects in space; through the optic nerve, the impulses are carried to the brain.. When the inner light, or intelligence, meets the outer light in this manner, by a process of interpretation, we see.... Your eyes symbolize divine love and a delight in the ways of God. as well as a hunger and thirst for God's truth...Your right eye symbolizes right thought and right action...The left eye symbolizes God's love and wisdom...Think right and radiate good will to all, and you will focus perfectly......................see Luke 18:42-43

Can Anyone Become a Mystic ?...

Definately,, But please don't hold an imaginative picture of a mystic as some strange looking individual in a long robe... An authentic mystic is a sensible person who lives in the midst of a troubled world but is above its folly...A businessman at his desk or a homemaker at her stove can easily be a practicing mystic...The great mystics of history possessed various backgrounds and personalities...Lao-Tse was a librarian in charge of secret scrolls... Rene Descartes was a lawyer, army officer, author, musician, phychologist, philosopher, and a mathematical genius.. the Emperor of Rome, Marcus Aurelius, was caught between his love of the spiritual life and the demands of royality.. He wrote, "Look within, Within is your fountain of good".... Pythagoras, who lived about 550B.C. , used the principles of music to teach philosophic truths...Brother Lawrence was a cook in a monastery, though ignorant of of literary matters, he wrote a mystical classic called "Practicing the Presence of God"....Buddah was a prince who gladly gave up a kingdom in exchange for personal peace...A champion on the athletic field was named Plato....But they all agreed on the Mystical Path to achieve Freedom.............

Absolutism.....

From the absolute point of view, there is only God... There is nothing that exists outside of God.. From this absolute way of seeing, evil is an illustion and not real.. In our conversations, we speak of evil as though it were a real substantial entity,, but in fact,, it is an imagined reality having its existence only in our mind... Sufferers of schizophrenia hear voices and hallucinate, so it is difficult to convince these persons that the apparitions are in their own mind... In the same way evil is the hallucination of separateness...Can we say that the lake in the desert as a mirage is part of the desert?..In the same way, we cannot say that evil is part of God...It is only an appearance..................

EVIL.........

There are evil acts in the world because people have created them in their minds...With regard to human beings, evil is any act or thoughts that harms nature or others for the sole purpose of fulfilling a selfish end...Evil is the ego in action, in the same way that compassion is love in action..Suffering, on the other hand, is not necessarily evil..Suffering is necessary for this world of duality to exist...One cannot have pleasure without pain, good without bad, or hot without cold...The river of God's awareness flows between the banks of pleasure and pain...Suffering is also our greatest teacher.. From it we eventually learn to abandon the pleasure fields of the senses and turn towards God, who is the only lasting source of happiness............

False Sense of Responsibility...

The self-tranformation of the Mystic Path frees us from a false sense of responsibility by removing the ego from our activities....There is a certain aimlessness, a lack of concern, but it has nothing to do with common carelessness.. You realize that all that furious rushing around the deck does absolutely nothing to move the boat forward... You finally grasped the Cosmic Truth that the boat carries you; you don't carry the boat... You sense that your abandonment of control does not mean disaster after all, but , for the first time, an enjoyable voyage...Before, you thought the boat would stop if you ceased pretending you were the captain...Now you know better...There is a real Captain...................As the Buddhists say ;" Do not push the river ".....

.....HELL....

This place called Hell was created by the thoughts of souls,,,we have the power to create....If you believe in this place and if you believe that you will go to this place, then you will...this is the free will of creation and experience that you have been given...God does not want you to suffer in any manner,,,therefore, stop these thoughts of the negative and think of only the positive, which is God, and you will find yourself only in positive experiences........The place called Hell is really just different frequencies where souls of similar level of development exist...the deeper into this darkness is the further you are from God, or in other words, the more that you love your ego versus how much you love God ...The Hell of fire and torment , which was what I was writing about in my previous post was created by the thoughts of souls that fear eternal punishment...and is only an illusion....

The Power of Self-Change.........

A seeker came to his teacher to complain, "Master, I am unhappy with the people in my life..They are unfaithful, inconsiderate..I am not wanted or appreciated.. How can I change them?".....Replied the teacher, "Change yourself".................The walk down the Mystic Path is toward self-change..If we reminded ourselves of this a dozen times a day, it would not be too much... Mystical truths uplift your level of consciousness...When it happens, you know that it has happened.....One sure sign is that you feel less flattered by flattery and less blamed by blame... An enlightened individual is affected by neither praise nor accusation,, though he may get plenty of both from unawakened people...Another pleasant change is an entirely new feeling toward time..You feel no sense of hurry, yet you accomplish your daily tasks far more efficiently...You live in that wonderful moment mysticism calls NOW...........

The Wisdom of Diogenes....

Diogenes was a Mystic who said ;" You lose the very life you seek when you wallow in stupid luxuries..You don't need nine-tenths of the things you scramble for..Don't be afraid to have nothing..Don't hesitate to be a nobody..Happiness is not what you have, but who you are..You are already exactly who you need to be...See it!".....................................One day, when Alexander the Great visited Corinth, the masses flocked to hail him..Needing no hero to worship, Diogenes stayed home...Well, said Alexander, noting the absence of the famous teacher, "I suppose I must go to him", The great warrior found the contented philosopher warning himself in the sunlight..Alexander asked the relaxed man, "What can I do for you?".."Just one thing, please," replied Diogenes, "Stand aside, You are blocking my sunlight.".............

How do We find Truth ?....

The only way to settle this question is not by argument or discussion.. but by getting the direct experience of Divine Illumination...And that is a personal thing,,Each person must obtain it for themself...Then only will you find out what is really meant by the Kingdom of Heaven...This attainment is not quite so hard as it seems to be,, because you are not seeking something a hundred thousand miles distant,,, you are seeking something which is here,,right here inside yourself... You are not seeking something which is alien to you,, but rather your own inmost nature,, your essence..........

Is the Mystic Path Practical for Modern People ?...

Nothing else is practical...Just look around, you see heartache, defeat, quarreling, and illness of every sort..Is this practical ?...It is entirely possible for any man or woman to live above all these defeats...People also wonder how their attention to the inner life will affect their exterior affairs..They wrongly assume that their business, social, and domestic activities will somehow suffer...They will do the exact opposite..They take on a brightness you cannot imagine..A new inner life always reflects itself outwardly... You don't lose one value by adding another...The awakened man not only continues nicely with his exterior affairs but exerts a new command over them..Because he no longer uses them to feed ego-needs, he is totally free of worry.. His sense of psychological survival does not depend upon this or that happening..In finding himself, he discovers a magnificent truth that " He is not at the mercy of anything in this world"....

The Wisdon of Thomas a Kempis....

Thomas a Kempis was a Mystic that wrote; " The man of inner life is easily aware of himself, since he is never totally absorbed in outward affairs...Therefore, his exterior occupations and necessary activities do not distract him, and he adjusts himself to things as they come...The man, whose inner life is well-ordered, is not bothered by strange and troublesome ways of others..A man is blocked and distracted by such things only as he permits himself to be.......................As Jesus said;" you must be in the world, but not of it"....As a Mystic, you control your own thoughts for the first time in your life.....

If Jesus was a Mystic, then why not all Christians ?

Jesus taught all his Apostles how to become Mystics, but he only spoke in parables to the average human.....the deeper meaning of the parables can be understood only by Mystics, therefore He was able to teach to both the Enlightened and the Unenlightened.......The modern Christian religion does not teach the path of Mystical Study to the average person in their Church because most of the leaders in the Church are not Mystics,,,Many that seek power over others are still ruled by their own egos',,so they do not have the knowledge to teach Mysticism to others, as they have not learned this knowledge themselves and do not care to give up the ego that gives them false pleasure.....therefore, the spiritual seekers in that church are left in ignorance and constant pain during their lives in the material plane....they are not even taught that they can end their pain through the elimination of the Ego...they are taught that the best that they can achieve is Heaven, but never told that the real goal is to become "One with God", which is far higher than the Heaven that they have been taught of.

Other Christs in Other Times...

Paul tells us in Hebrews of another Christ named Melchizedek, who appeared in Genesis 14:18 to bless Abraham..Abraham was so impressed with Melchizedek that he gave him ten percent of his possessions based entirely on one brief encounter when Abraham was returning from rescuing his nephew, Lot...Melchizedek is mentioned again in Psalms 110:4....Melchizedek was not a Jew, but a pagan...He could not have been a Jew, because Paul says that he was a high priest outside of the tribe of Levi, and according to Jewish law, only a Levite could be a priest...In fact Levi, the father of that tribe, had not even been born...It would be another 1800 years before Moses would appear with the Ten Commandments.................Paul said that Jesus was designated by God to be a High Priest of the Order of Melchizedek.........see Hebrews 5:7-10

Self Perpetuating Bondage....

Throughout history and in all religions, very few of us have become aware of our own self-perpetuating bondage, and still fewer have perceived the need to change as the result of having gripped and shaken the iron bars of our own self-centered prison..Most of us are content to remain as we are, not realizing that the awful price is separation from God....Personal spiritual change is painfully difficult..Spiritual change leaves us naked and empty.. The thundering waves of radical non-duality revealed by the life and teachings of Jesus the Christ will come crashing down on our illusory sand castle of "I" and "mine" which, up to the point of transformation, will have stood basking in the artificial light of endless unfulfilled desires... If this change, this rebirth, this resurrection, this transformation has not utterly shattered our world and our conception of ourselves, then we are not ripe for the Kingdom...........

Spiritual Time........

Spiritual time, or rather, timelessness..connects with every area of life, for example, health..Thousands of patients on sick beds could get up and walk away by penetrating this secret..Psychosomatic illness of every variety springs from the pressure of living in the wrong time...Don't wander away from the safety zone of NOW..During your day, observe how your mind slips backward to yesterday and forward to tomorrow..Catch it..Pull it back...Pull it back to where it belongs,,in the here and now.....

Why are We unhappy with other People ?....

Whenever we have an unhappy experience with another person, we must not complain, "Why did he do this to me "? That is the first reaction almost everyone makes..However, it misses the mark entirely.. Instead, you must ask, "Why did I react painfully to what he did ?".... This reaction brings us back to our responsibility for abandoning ego-centered sensitivities... Then, anyone can do anything to you and there is no pain,, only a peaceful understanding......

The Propelled Heart.....

When a man becomes a little enlightened, he compares his experiences relating to the material creation, gathered in his wakeful state, with his experiences in dream, and understanding the latter to be merely ideas, begins to entertain doubts as to the substantial existence of the former...His heart then becomes propelled to learn the real nature of the universe and, struggling to clear his doubts, seeks for evidence to determine what is truth.....In this state, humans become anxious for real knowledge,,the need of helping one another, hence mutual love, the principal necessary for gaining salvation, appears in the heart..Motivated by the energetic tendency of this love, souls affectionately keep company with those who destroy troubles, clear doubts, and afford peace to them...and hence avoids whatever produces the contrary result..they also study scientifically the scriptures of Divine Personages..........................

Self Knowledge.....

Self-knowledge is really a simple thing..It is getting to see how we operate, That places us in control of our human machine..Insight into the two selves within a man clears up many confusions and contradictions..A mystic says that man is wicked..That is true..But he also proclaims the Kingdom of Heaven within, Also true..The True Self is everything good,,the flase self is all that is bad..A man's conflicts arise from the battle between the two..As we permit our essential nature to take rightful domination,,we win..It was our understanding that preceded our victory...As our false notions disappear, nothing can hurt us..We see that we were hurt because of the ego-hardened self which takes everything as personal hurts..But through self-insight, the hardness has melted, and with it, comes the quietness we always wanted....................

How to Stop Hurting Yourself....

Many people will not believe it when told how severely they hurt themselves by lack of self-understanding..They still wrongly think that harm originates from outside, rather than from its actual origin within....Take negative reactions..Who is painfully negative when rain ruins the picnic..the rain or the reaction?..Who gets hurt when someone breaks his promise to us..the broken promise or the person taking it with resentment ?.....It is as simple as this; We cannot cling to our negative emotions without paying the price..Can we be at peace at the same time that we feel frustrated?..No. Can we enjoy ourselves while harboring dejection ?..Impossible...It is one or the other....Suppose a human worked with this enlightening fact until they see it clearly..They would at once drop their preference for negativity..They would see how it robs them of the very happinness they want.........

Jesus teaching to the Greek Sages in Athens...

Jesus said;" the senses were ordained to bring into the mind mere pictures of the things that pass away,,they do not deal with real things,,they do not comprehend eternal law...But man has something in his soul, a something that will tear the veil apart, that he may see the world of real things..We call this something "Spirit Consciousness", it sleeps in every soul, and cannot be awakened till the Holy Breath becomes a welcome guest..This Holy Breath knocks at the door of every soul, but cannot enter in until the will of man throws wide the door..There is no power in intellect to turn the key,,philosophy and science both have toiled to get a glimpse behind the veil,,but they have failed..The secret spring that throws ajar the door of soul is touched by nothing else than purity in life, by prayer and holy thought..Return, O mystic stream of Grecian thought, and mingle your clear waters with the flood of Spirit-life,,and then the Spirit Consciousness will sleep no more, and man will know, and God will bless..........

Jesus teaching in Katak, India

Jesus said;" The Holy Breath cannot be seen with mortal eyes, nor can men see the Spirits of the Holy One..But in their image man was made, and he who looks into the face of man, looks at the image of the God who speaks within..And when man honors man, he honors God, and what man does for man, he does for God..And you must bear in mind that when man harms in thought or word or deed another man, he does a wrong to God..If you would serve the God who speaks within the heart, just serve your near of kin, and those that are no kin, the stranger at your gates, the foe who seeks to do you harm..Assist the poor, and help the weak, do harm to none, and covet not what is not yours..Then, with your tongue the Holy One will speak, and He will smile behind your tears, will light your countenance with joy, and fill your hearts with peace.......

Healing through Blind Faith and True Faith..

True faith is based on the knowledge of the way your conscious and subconscious minds function and on the combined harmonious functioning of these two levels of mind scientifically directed....Blind faith is healing without any scientific understanding whatsoever of the forces involved......In all instances,,regardless of the technique, process, incantation, or invocation offered to saints and spirits,, it is the subconscious mind that does the healing...Whatever you believe is operative instantly in your subconscious mind..........

The Gospel of Thomas,,verse 29

Jesus said;" If spirit came into being because of the body,, it is a wonder of wonders...Indeed, I am amazed at how this great wealth (the spirit) has made it home in this poverty (the body)."......................Jesus tells us that the body is not important as it is only the vehicle of the spirit on the material plane...therefore the idea that the body will be resurrected after death is foolish, as the spirit does not need a body in the non material planes.........

Religions and Spirituality....

Religions are road maps to the Self (I AM ) or God, which lies within us. Passing throught the wilderness of the ego, which lies hidden from most of us just below the surface of our conscious awareness, we encounter pitfalls and wrong turns..Religions are road maps through the subconscious, Arriving at the center, we merge with God and , like the prodigal son, reclaim our lost immortality..To put it another way, we realize that our true original nature is immortality, and we stop dreaming that we are separate egos that are trapped in a seemingly endless cycle of birth, death and rebirth...Religion and scripture are not the goal...God is the goal, and spirituality is the practice of walking the path to God...Spirituality has to do with experiencing God intimately and directly...Without this direct experience , there is no salvation, no getting to heaven, no being born again, no enlightenment, no nirvana, no liberation and no end to suffering.............................Ethan Walker

The Four Paths to God.........

The four main paths to the attainment of union with God are,,,,,(1).The path of "Selfless Work", in which every action is offered to God, as a sacrament...By dedicating the fruits on one's work to God, the spiritual aspirant eventually achieves purity of heart and attains union with God..........(2)The path of " Discrimination between the Eternal and the noneternal "..When by the process of elimination ,all transitory phenomena have been analyzed and then rejected, God only remains, and the spiritual aspirant realizes through meditation , his union with the impersonal aspect of the Godhead............(3) The path of "Devotion " in which the worshiper merges his ego in his Chosen ideal of God by cultivating intense love for him as a personal Being..The majority of believers in all the great religions of the world follow this path............(4)The path of "Formal Meditation " is the method of concentrating the mind one-pointedly on the Supreme Reality until complete absorption is attained..This path may be followed exclusively, often by those who lead predominatly comtemplative lives..

The State of Ignorance.....

The reason why humans live in a state of ignorance is because they believe that they are the ego instead of the Truth that they are Divinity using a human body to move around in this physical world...In this state of ignorance of their Divinity, they commit crimes against themselves, such as hate, violence, theft, vanity, bigotry, and all other negative thoughts and emotions that are born of this false-ego that they believe that they are...when the mind is cleared of these impurities of ego, then the pure white light of the Holy Spirit can shine through...this is why Saints have the white halo around their heads in paintings....this is the white aura that is transferred from the Holy Spirit through the bodies of those who have become Love (Christhood, Sainthood),,,these are the souls that have abolished their egos.....Remember, the word Enlightenment means to be filled with Light..............

The God of Unselfish-Love....

The God of Unselfish-Love is the God of all Gods,,,This God created the lesser gods to rule over different planes of existence according to the nature of that plane....Souls have the God-like ability to create also, since we are part of the God of unselfish-love....therefore many of the gods are creations of our thoughts....You need only learn about the God of Unselfish-love, as it is home and our journey is to return home....the path home is a mental path of false-ego anihilation, as it is the belief that we are separate entities from God that keep us from God....That is why we are called "Sons of Man", when we fully realize that we are a part of God and not the ego, then we achieve enlightenment, which means that we are filled with the Light of the Spirit of God.....As God is Light, and ignorance of God is darkness... and then we become "Sons of God"......Hell is merely the distance that you are from God....the further that you are from Love, the further you are from Happiness, that's why Hell is painful...........Satan is the name that we have given to selfishness, which is the false ego.......

...What is Prayer ?...

Prayer is contacting, communicating with, and aligning your thought with the Infinite Intelligence, which responds to the nature of your thought and belief....Prayer will bring forth whatever you want and need in your life, if you conform to the laws of your mind purposefully, sincerly, and righteously...Prayer constantly brings about the seemingly impossible and heals the so-called incurable...In the history of humankind, there is no conceivable problem that has not at some time been solved by prayer...People of all ages, all countries, and all religions have believed in the miraculous power of prayer..".God is no respecter of persons "(Acts 10:34) and He is available to all people, regardless of their race, creed, or color...Those who have received marvelous answers to their prayers have either consciously or unconsciously given recognition, honor, and devotion to a responsive Infinite Intelligence that indwells all humans...Remember that God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, and is untrammeled by time, space, matter, or the vagaries of humankind...It is easy to see, therefore, that there can be no limit to the power of prayer, because " with God all things are possible" (Matt. 19:26)

...Nitrogen...

Nitrogen is as precious to the human body as oxygen.. It is the material that makes proteins differ from other foods..Fats and carbohydrates can, in an emergency, be almost dispensed with, but protein is life-giving, and without it malnutrition quickly sets in..It is nitrogen that makes the protein so very different to other foods..It is a teaching of current biology that man cannot obtain nitrogen for the construction of his own body proteins by any means except through the protein that he eats, whether this be in the almost solid concentration of meat and fish, or in the lesser concentrations of protein found in fruit, cereals and vegetables...All nitrogen, says orthodoxy, must come from diet..This is mainly true. But it does seem an extroadinary lapse , on the part of the God of Nature to have created man with a hugh capacity for taking in air, which is four-fifths nitrogen, and then not to have made this precious material available to the body for the building of its own muscles and other tissues of a proteinous nature.....It is a teaching, previously made only available to initiates, that, in certain circumstances, the human body CAN fix nitrogen for its own use, from the air it breathes....It is taught that man is omni-potential.............................Ethan Walker

What is Psychic Deafness ?.....

It is the ego that prevents us from receiving healthy words and impressions... As the Mystic Plutarch said;" Talkative people listen to no one, for they are ever speaking..And the first evil surrounding those who do not know the meaning of silence is that they hear nothing"......

Seventh Heaven........

I'm sure that most of you have heard the term "Seventh Heaven", I will now tell you about the seven levels of the planes called Heaven..........The seventh level is the sphere of God,,the only Real Substance in the universe...No name can describe it, nor can anything in the creation of Darkness or Light designate it........The sixth level is the sphere of the Holy Spirit which is the Eternal Patience, as it remains forever undisturbed by any limited idea..Because it is not approachable even by the Sons of God as such, it is called the Inaccessible........The fifth level is the sphere of spiritual reflection, the Sons of God, wherein the idea of separate existence of Self originates..As this sphere is above the comprehension of anyone in the creation of Darkness, it is called the Incomprehensible.......The forth level is the sphere of the Atom, the beginning of the creation of Darkness, upon which the Spirit is reflected...This, the connecting link, is the only way between the spiritual and the material creation and is called the Door.........The third level is the Atom around which is the sphere of magnetic aura, the electricities, This sphere, being characterized by the absence of all the creation and is called the Great Vacuum..............The second level is the sphere of electric attibutes...As the gross matters of the creation are entirely absent from this sphere, and it is conspicuous by the presence of the fine matters only, it is called the Vacuum Ordinary..............The first level and lowest level is the sphere of gross material creation, which is always visible to everyone...............and this is where we are now...................................

Seeing illusion............

If you see what no one else can see then you are seeing the thoughts of yourself or other souls that have created an illusion of reality....the only existence that does exist is God,,we are the thoughts of God that have been given free will to use the power of thought to create illusions of good or bad.....by this power we fell into the state of selfishness and created the false ego....this is the great fall that you read about in the Bible..as the further we became from the Father, the further down in the frequencies we fell, until we reached the lowest level, called matter..Our goal in this illusion is to rid ourselves of delusion and return home..............

Overcoming the Barrier to Happiness....

The false ego cannot be, and need not be changed, but it can be dissolved and replaced by the True Self....A hawk cannot be changed into a dove, but it can be replaced by a dove...Remember, the false self is false, it is non-existent, but by believing it it, we act as if it were real...In reality, there is only one Self, one Power....The True Self is, as the New Testament phrases it, the Kingdom of Heaven within...It is your higher self, the Divinity in man......But, the greatest single barrier to attaining this is man's secret assumption that he already knows the answers to his problems...Millions of unhappy people make this false assumption, but do not see it, thus freezing their potentialities for happiness....A tremendous power works for the man who meets a challenging problem with the honest admission, "I don't know the answer"....By turning his helplessness over to the power, he enables it to reveal the answer................

The Life of a Mystical Teacher...

Some Humans are apt to think that Mystic teachers dwell in some sort of ivory tower, having no contact with the realities of a harsh world..Such notions are quickly dispelled by reading about the early lives of teachers like Augustine and Count Tolstoy...The difference between the Mystic and his critic is that the Mystic has met and conquered the harsh world, while the skeptic is still punished by it...The Mystic Path has everything to do with everyday affairs..Take, for example, failure to break an unwanted habit..What goes wrong ?, The person fails because the very self who is trying to break the habit is the same self trapped by it..A new sense of self is needed..When the human discovers this new self, they also break the habit, for humanity's essential self is jailed by nothing....This is why we study about the two selves that exist within our selves...An individual lives with two conflicting selves within themselves,,Their True Self and their False Self.....The False Self consists of everything negative within themselves and the Real Self consists of everything Positive within themselves....That's why the mission of the Mystic is to anihilate the False Self to regain the "Kingdom of God Within"....

..Sleeping and Waking States...

Just as the objects seen in our dreams are found, when we awake, to be insubstantial,,so our waking perceptions are likewise unreal......a matter of inference only.......When a man compares his ideas relating to gross matters conceived in the wakeful state with his conception of ideas in dream,, the similarity existing between them naturally leads him to conclude that this external world also is not what it appears to be......When he looks for further explanation, he finds that all his wakeful conceptions are substantially nothing but mere ideas caused by the union of five objects of sense with the five organs of sense....This union is effected by the operation of Mind and conceived or grasped by the Intelligence...Thus , it is clear that all conceptions which man forms in his wakeful state are mere inferential...............

What is Mysticism ?.....

There appears to be a confusion about what Mysticism is, so I will try to make the confusion disappear....Mysticism is an advanced state of inner enlightenment, It is a Union with Reality,,It is a state of genuine satisfying success,,It is an Insight into an entirely new world of living,,It is an intuitive grasp of Truth, above and beyond intellectual reasoning,,It is a personal experience, in which we are happy and healthy human beings.........As the Mystic Alfred Tennyson says;"The Mystic has absolute clearness of Mind",,,,, The message of Mysticism is that Happiness is yours in the here and now..The painful states of anxiety and lonliness are abolished permanently..Financial affairs are not financial problems..You are at ease with yourself...You are not at the mercy of unfulfilled cravings..Confusion is replaced with clarity...There is a relieving answer to every tormenting question..You possess a True Self..Something can be done about every unhappy condition..While living in the world, you can be inwardly detached from its sorrows to live with personal peace and sanity...and this is what unknowing people call impractical Mysticism...........The objective of every seeker is to become an enlightened, happy, and pleasant human being....

Positive Criticism.........

The Mystic La Rochefoucauld said ;" Few people are wise enough to prefer useful reproof to treacherous praise"...............

Baptized in the Stream of Light.........

Through the Christ-Consciousness, the son of man becomes again baptized or absorbed in the stream of Spiritual Light and rising above the creation of Darkness, enters into the spiritual world and becomes unified with the Son of God, as was the case with the Mystic Jesus, , In this state man is saved forever from the bondage of Darkness.......see John 1:12 and 3:5 ..........................When man thus entering into the spiritual world becomes a Son of God,, he comprehends the Universal Light...The Holy Spirit,,as a perfect whole..and his Self as nothing but a mere idea resting on a fragment of the Aum(Amen) Light...Then he sacrifices himself to the Holy Spirit,,on the altar of God...that is, abandons the vain idea of his separate existence, and becomes one integral whole..................Thus, being one with the Universal Holy Spirit of God the Father, he becomes unified with the Real Substance, God...This unification of Self with the External Substance, God,,is called Freedom....see Revelation 3:21

Why do Humans find themselves in Troubles ?

Consciousness is essential to prevent troubles in our lives....As the Mystic Swedenborg said:" Everyone who is in good can perceive evil, and he who is in truth can see falsity...Those whose understandings are in light from wisdom are like men who at mid-day are standing upon a mountain and seeing clearly all that is below".........So the increase in your wisdom through mystical education is the very knowledge that will prevent you from the troubles that you find yourself in.........

Enlightenment....

I think that they key for Spiritual Union with God, is desire......our lives are confused by the amount of desires that we have, that have nothing to do with Spirituality.....the desire needed is the desire to not exist outside of God....this releases the invented ego that we created....by not existing, we exist.....this opposite is in league with most esoteric knowledge....such as , "the last shall be first".....so clear your mind of the power of "I", and you may find your consciousness in the selfless consciousness of God....this is also an opposite, since God is everything, yet God is the state of selfless Love....this fact must be meditated upon by the initiate....................

Is Magick Good or Evil ?....

The early initiates of magic were screened , to find out if they were moral enough to learn the power of magic.....the subconcious mind is the link to the power of creation and your link to God. It is also your soul...It forgets nothing and never sleeps.........As a co-partner with the creative source, you have the same powers of creation, but only if you believe that you do. as Jesus said; "If you believe, and say mountain be moved, then it will be"...this is why a mystical path of holiness is essential before you start to create objects and situations through your subconcious mind.... as you have "free will" to create good or evil by your very thoughts............so watch your thoughts carefully........the road of mysticism is to teach your mind to think only positive and holy thoughts

...The Second Birth....

Through his luminous body (when the mind is purified, there is an increase in white light emiting from the body) , man, believing in the existence of the true Light..the Life of this universe..becomes baptized or absorbed into the holy stream of the sound.( Amen, Aum)...The baptism is , so to speak, the second birth of man and is called enlightenment,,without which man can never comprehend the real internal world,,the kingdom of God.........See John 1:9 and 3:3

Ego Anihilation teaching....

Jesus taught that the method of ego anihilation was to practice the mental state of continuous Love.....Love is the essense of God....therefore you will become what you are constantly thinking.....as the old adage says " You are what you think"..... the Intellectual path to ego anihilation is "self- observation", this is the practice of mentally being awake to all the thoughts of your mind...you project your consciousness outside of your body and watch all of your thoughts and actions.....just this self-observation will change yourself and steadily eliminate the ego...also examining the wisdom of the Mystics that have already achieved enlightenment and mystical union with The Creative Intelligence (GOD), will open your sub-conscious mind to knowledge from the Holy Spirit.....Meditation is also very important in achieving ego-anihilation, as Meditation is listening to the flow of knowledge from God....and leads to the final elimination of ego and the merging with God, when your ego has been destroyed.....

Jesus teaching about the false Ego...

The story of the " Prodigal Son " is a good example of the teaching of Jesus against the false ego.....The Son left the Father with the inheritance that the son was supposed to receive later but the Son asked his Father for it now......Out of Love , the Father gave his selfish Son , the inheritance and the Son left in a great deal of self-pride and ego and spent it on the sins of the flesh.....when all the money was gone and the Son had to eat the same food of the pigs to stay alive,,,,then he felt humbled...which means that the ego was gone,,, and he went back to the Father, and was about to beg for His forgiveness,,but the Father came running to Him, to welcome Him back Home..........As the Father never stopped loving the Son, and was always ready to welcome Him back....but the Son had to attain humility and give up His ego to return........So, it is with us also,,,we must give up our ego to return to the Father,,this is the only ticket for admittance........

Anihilation of the Ego...

Perhaps, a clearer explanation of the ego, is that it is actually two parts....It is the false ego that we think that we are and it is the real ego that we are...the real ego is the Christ Consciousness, which is the merging of our Consciousness with God (Love).....the only reason that we are not Christs, ourselves, is that we still believe that we are the false ego....we are caught up in the frequency of matter because the more that we believed that we were separate from God, the further down in the frequencies we fell until we reached the frequency of matter.....matter appears to be solid because the senses of the physical body are limited....we can still change matter using our minds if we believe that we can...this is how healing works..and manifestation of objects and circumstances occurs....anything that keeps us from God is evil, that's why matter is considered evil.......as long as you still feel anger and any of the other negative emotions then you can be sure that you still believe that you are the false ego.......It's very important that you understand this concept of false ego anihilation, as it is the basis of all religions and philosophies,,,,the teachings of Jesus for false ego anihilation, was to nurture the power of Love,( which is the power of God,) by practicing the mental power of Love, you anihilate the false ego.....this was the most simple way that Jesus could teach about this method, because the people were not well schooled in the intellectual path for false ego anihilation................

The Holy Spirit and the Sons of God....

The manifestation of Attraction (the Omniscient Love) is called Life, the Omnipresent Holy Spirit is called the Holy Breath......This Holy Spirit shines on the Darkness, to attract every portion of it toward Divinity...But the Darkness, being repulsion itself, cannot receive or comprehend the Spiritual Light, but reflects it............This Holy Spirit, being the manifestation of the Omniscient Nature of the Eternal Father, God, is no other substance than God, Himself...and so these reflections of spiritual rays are called the Sons of God........................................................................................................................"In him was life, and the life was the light of men"............."And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not"......................."He came unto his own, and his own received him not"......................

The Ego is Satan...

With regard to the human mind, Satan is our evil inclination or the ego...The ego is that which hides the knowledge of our true nature with the illusion of separateness....This illusion comes from our mistaken identifications with the body and its senses in the same way that the hot midday sun causes the mirage of a lake to appear on the desert floor....This illusion , in turn , gives rise to sense of "I" and "mine"... Ignorance of our true nature is the root sin that manifests in various forms such as greed, selfishness, hatred, covetousness, envy, and vanity.. these lead to a plethora of emotional sufferings such as strife, grief, anxiety, and fear...........This is the great battle of God versus Satan.....Love versus hate.... Sainthood (Christhood) versus Selfishness..................Vernon Howard

...Identification...

Identification means that we mentally and emotionally lose ourselves in something inside or outside of us..We become absorbed in a person, a place, our career, a hobby, our personal viewpoints, almost anything..We lose our thoughts in these things in an attempt to feel secure..We hope to gain an idea of who we are,,we want to cling to something that seems permanent......But they give us no security,,they create just the opposite, , The moment we identify with anything,, we become afraid of losing it....And since all things change,, we get hurt when the object of our attachment is threatened, or when it goes away.....This is why, we fear losing our ego,,because we fear that we will lose our identity....but the loss of the false ego is the only way that we can find our real identity............Vernon Howard

Separate Existence of Self and the Atomic Connection

The Atom, which is Ignorance, being under the influence of Universal Love,,The Holy Spirit, becomes spiritualized, like iron filings in a magnetic aura, and possessed of consciousness, the power of feeling, when it is called the Heart. (sub-conscious mind) and being such,, the idea of separate existence of self appears in it ,,which is called Ego, (" the son of man")....Being thus magnetized, it has two poles,,one of which attracts it toward the Real Substance, and the other repels it from the same..The former is called the Intelligence, which determines, what is Truth,,,and the latter, being a particle of Repulsion,,,, the Almighty Force spiritualized as aforesaid, produces the ideal world for enjoyment and is called the Mind............................Swami Sri Yukteswar........

The Solitary Mystic...

"A horse which is harnessed to a wagon along with other horses is not free....The same situation is true of man ".....(Tolstoy)

The Mystical Path to Magick

Magick is the production of effects by forces we do not yet understand..As you grow to appreciate the processes, they cease to seem magical, but they remain marvelous...It is only the unaccustomed thing we do not understand that we call magick...Our sub-conscious mind is also called the soul,,,,it is the very Divinity within us and is us...It is the consciousness of God and our consciousness...the mind that we use everyday is called the conscious mind...It is the mind that we think we are...but it is only the front door to the sub-conscious mind...we use the conscious mind to train the sub-conscious mind....this is where genuine magick occurs...the sub-conscious mind is the creative source of the material universe....this is where manifestation of objects and intentions occur...when we have completely discovered our Divinity, then we have acquired "Belief" or "Faith", these are just words that mean that we understand Truth....when this belief becomes our Truth then we have the power of God........As the Master Magician Jesus said;" If you have Faith, and say Mountain be moved,,then it shall be".....

The Wisdom of St. Augustine...

St. Augustine said;" That which is called the Christian religion existed among the ancients, and never did not exist from the beginning of the human race until Christ came in the flesh, at which time the true religion, which already existed, began to be called Christianity".....................This means that if you really wish to know Christianity, then you must also study Buddhism and Hinduism.............

Righteousness.....

Jesus said;" For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.........................The Scribes and Pharisees forgot the first commandment, to "Love thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind"..They are very ethical, upright men in their way, but they cling to forms and outward observances, and this leads them toward intolerance, narrowness, and dogmatism...the righteousness which exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and pharisees is the very opposite of this...It is an ethic which regards the observance of forms and rituals, not as an end in itself, but as a means to enter into the kingdom of heaven.....When we love God, we must love our neighbor as our self,,,because our neighbor is our very Self....Through the practice of self-control, the inner restraint of the passions, we develop spiritually toward union with the absolute good...The man who attains this ultimate state does not have to discriminate consciously between right and wrong, or practice self-mastery...Holiness and purity become his very nature...He transcends relative righteousness and enters the kingdom of heaven........................

Becoming Christ ...

When all the developments of Ignorance are withdrawn, the sub-conscious mind {Soul}, being perfectly clear and purified, no longer merely reflects the Spiritual Light but actively manifests the same, and thus being consecrated and anointed, man becomes free, or Christ the Savior..............."Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost "....

Union with God....

To achieve Union with God requires that you completely extinguish your Ego....as you cannot enter the complete state of unselfishness while you still harbor your individuality...This Enlightenment took two years for me to accomplish,,but it will change your soul and your mind forever....

Wisdom,,,Love...and Compassion

Wisdom is knowing we are all one... Love is what it feels like...Compassion is what it acts like...................................Ethan Walker

A Cry for Love...........

Bless me, that I may find Thee in the temple of each thought and activity. Finding Thee within, I shall find Thee without, in all people and all conditions......

The Imprisoned Splendor....

I would rather have trustworthy and satisfying answers to these questions than all the gold of the Indies..To know--not to believe, not to hope, not to have faith, but to know that the universe is friendly,,that our feet are set on an intelligent pilgrimage, ,and there is Love at the heart of things: this knowledge for which I am still questing and for which I would gladly barter, as for the pearl of great price , all other knowledge...

The Three Realizations..........

All creatures from the highest to the lowest in the link of creation, are found eager to realize three things ;...Existence,,,Consciousness,,,and Bliss.........

The Wisdom of Thoreau........

In his book, "Walden", Thoreau says; " If a man moves confidently in the direction of his dreams and endeavors to live the life he has imagined,, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours and begin to live with the license of a higher order of being"................

Nazareth did not exist at the time of Jesus....

I'm sure that this knowledge shocks you, as you have been taught to refer to Jesus as "the Nazarene" but the fact is that Nazareth did not exist until three hundred years after the death of Jesus....In the Encyclopaedia biblio,a work written by theologians, states that we cannot assert positively that there was a city of Nazareth during the time of Jesus...Nazareth was not included in the list of settlements of the tribes of Zebulon (Joshua 19;10-16)...Nazareth was not included in the in the list of the 45 cities of Galilee that were mentioned by Josephus (37 AD-100AD), a widely traveled historian who never missed anything and who voluminously describes the region...The name is also missing from the 63 towns of galilee mentioned in the Talmud...The earlier writings of Paul mentioned Jesus 221 times but never mentioned Nazareth....Nazareth is only mentioned in the New Testament..............................Ethan Walker

The Name of God.........

The Hebrews knew God as Yahweh or Jehovah but when Moses spoke to God and asked for His name, God replied that He be called "I AM".........I AM is pure existence...The same I AM that is God is also the very core of our own existence.. With some introspection we can see or feel that we are always I AM...When we are awake we are I AM, and when we are asleep we are I AM, through all of the changing states of our mind I AM remains the changeless observer or witness of all activity and inactivity...The I AM is not a thing or an object, but rather it is experience itself or spirit....As Jesus said:"God is a Spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.".............

What is Worship ?...

The subject came up recently as whether God desires worship or not...I decided that God does not require worship , as that would be egotistical....but I decided to meditate upon the matter of worship and the answer that was given to me was that since we are actually thought in a human vehicle and God is pure loving thought and we and God both have the ability to create by using thought then thought is actually worship....so by thinking of God and His/hers mysteries and by thinking thoughts of love(which is God) then we are actually worshiping God....

Is Satan, A Servant of God ?...

In Job I:6-8, Satan is the servant of God and does nothing without the permission of God..He appears along with the other "ben Elohim"(sons of God) implying that he is one of the angel-misisters of Yahweh. The Jewish tradition has a very different view of Satan than does orthodox Christianity. Judaism believes Satan works for God and has a job to do, which is to test, prod and thereby bring humans into spiritual maturity...With regard to the human mind, Satan is our evil inclination or the ego..The ego is that which hides the knowledge of our true nature with the illusion of separateness from God...

Inner Transformation.....

The purpose of the teachings of Jesus is to create an inner change within the Christian...they are not just rules to follow, they are meant to actually change the sub-concious mind to become that which you are wishing to become...the sub-conscious mind is a blackboard that is covered by the writing of all your thoughts,so that most people are walking around in a confused state....the objective of a spiritual path is to wipe the slate clean and write new knowledge upon the board...this is the meaning of Jesus, when He said that your sins are forgiven....the conscious mind tells the sub-conscious mind what to believe and store...the most thoughts installed into the sub-concious mind will become the dominant force, and will become the personality of the individual....so make the most thoughts of your conscious mind filled with love and kindness, this will be transferred to your sub-concious mind to become manifested into reality...."You are what you think".......

Jesus said:" Do not pour new wine into old wine skins...

Was He saying that we should not mix the Old Testament with the New Testament?....was He saying that we must be "Born Again" into the new knowledge?...or did He just know that new wine would be ruined by putting it into old wine skins....

Did Jesus Die For Our Sins ?....

First, We must understand what Sin is....Sin is an ancient archery term, that means "missing the mark"...It means that you have not purged your sub-concious mind of selfishness.....It has been a tenet of the modern Christian religion to believe that Jesus died as a sacrifice to God, to atone for our sins...Jesus abhored the sacrifice of animals to God, so the idea of sacrificing his body to God does not coincide to His beliefs...As this concept has bothered me for many years, I decided to meditate upon this mystery....the answer that was given to me was that allowing Himself to be tortured and brought to a slow death by being crucified was to teach us that love (God) is powerful enough to resist even this attempt to push us into a state of anger and hatred towards the humans committing this horrendous act...This is shown when Jesus spoke to God upon the cross and asked God to forgive them, for they know not what they do... Thus showing us that Love (God) is more powerful than pain or death..

The Cursing of the Fig Tree....

This topic has been brought up recently, so the Spirit led me to the book called "The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ"....the page fell open to 210, where Jesus speaks to the tree and says;" You useless cumberer of the ground, you fig tree fair to look upon, but a delusive thing..You take from earth and air the food that fruitful trees should have..Go back to earth and be yourself the food for other trees to eat....................On the next day when the apostles and Jesus passed the tree and noticed that it had died and the leaves were withered,,Jesus said;"So shall it be with those who bear no fruit.. When God shall call them up to give account, lo, He will breathe upon then, and their leaves, their empty words, will wither and decay...God will not let the fruitless trees of live encumber ground, and he will pluck them up and cast them all away.......Jesus goes on to say," Now, you can demonstrate the power of God. Have faith in God, and you can bid the mountains to depart and they will crumble at your feet...............So Jesus was using the fig tree to demonstate the power of Thought(God) and the warning that souls that do not progress spiritually will be cast aside...

The Modern "Lords Prayer"....

I thought that the "Lords Prayer" needed a modern english update from the old english, so that the esoteric christian could understand it better. So this is my rendition... Our Father-God, who is within us.... Holy is your name..... May your kingdom be realized... May Your will be our will..... On Earth as it is within us.... Grant us sustenence each day... And forgive us our selfishness... As we forgive others that are selfish... May we not offend you by being tempted... Lead us from the path of the false-ego... For You are the source of all power and Love

The Uplifting Power of Bad.....

Whoever tries to annoy you intentionally or otherwise is trying to hurt and control you with your own anger...Respond ony with patience and whatever thought or deed that shall come forth out of your center of calmness...be glad when people are rude or unkind, for here is your opportunity to overlook..If there were no danger, you could not possess courage..If there were no hate or temptation, how could you develop love and virtue?...these people are giving you the opportunity to accomplish now what you failed to do before...The situation which once made you upset, guilty, and afraid will become the very things to give you happiness and well-being from now on.........As Jesus said:" forgive our tresspasses, as we forgive those who tresspass against us"........................Vernon Howard

Hell is found within the Mind....

Hatred makes the mind a hell. .Likewise, anger, jealousy and uncontrollable craving for name and fame make life equal to hell...You lose your peace of mind...You lose the love in you, the beauty in you, and your mind becomes a madhouse..........This is why Love is the main tenet of Christ's Teachings...once your mind has conquered the negatives like hatred, then you have found "the kingdom of God within"....................Vernon Howard

.....NOW.....

With most people, the two terrible thieves of happiness are regret of the past, and fear of the future....these thieves operate in the dark, that is, unconsciously...Your Self-Observation exposes them to the light of awareness...torment attacks the mind when it needlessly swings into the past or future...When the swing halts at its natural position, we rest quietly.......As Alan Watts said;" It is absolutely impossible to be unhappy Now..The present moment is perfect freedom."...................Vernon Howard

Are We Deceived ?.....

It is very easy to be deceived into thinking that the memorized words about a higher fact are the same as living within that fact...We must break through the wall of words to the self-release found in personal experience.....Remember, it is the false Ego that fools you into believing that knowledge is the same as personal experience................Vernon Howard

Is Christ above you ?.....

Christhood is a spiritual level in which you have conquered your false-ego and have become Love....In the Buddhist writtings, a saying goes, "If you see the Buddah walking down the road, Kill Him"...this is esoteric language that means that if you can see the Buddah, then you have not become the Buddah....This knowledge also applies to Christhood,,,If you feel that Christ is above you, or only exists within Jesus, then you have not yet become Love (Christ)....

Happiness is Effortless......

The Mystics teach that happiness comes to us of itself, effortlessly, as we make ourselves inwardly right....The Mystic Seneca said: " The sovereign good of man is a mind that subjects all things to itself, and is itself subject to nothing..Such a man's pleasures are modest and reserved, and it may be a question whether he goes to heaven or heaven comes to him.............As Jesus said;" My Yoke is light"...................Vernon Howard

Why do Spiritual Masters teach with Parables ?..

Because mental pictures speak a language that everyone understands...The great teachers have therefore always entrusted Truth with most confidence to parables,,which, because of their simplicity, picturesqueness and association with everyday life, are a thought-form most likely to be remembered and least likely to be corrupted...Each Human, then can perceive that depth of Truth to which he has a capacity to respond.......

Achieving Inner Freedom.....

Inner Freedom is not a matter of adding anything...it is purely a ridding process..You must rid yourself of Negative thoughts, blaming and accusing others, permitting gloomy impressions to stay within our minds,,carrying a load of false guilt for things that we couldn't help,,Self-pity,,believing that there is no way out...We are in a habit of thinking in terms of building, adding, constructing,,,while all the time, our freedom lies in the opposite direction...Happiness is a ridding process...We need only remove ignorance,,insight into the truth then dawns....As Jesus said;" The truth will set you free".....

The Gospel of the Holy Twelve,,,essene document

11. And Iesus, after that he had finished his study of the law, went down again into Egypt that he might learn of the wisdom of the Egyptians, even as Moses did. And going into the desert, he meditated and fasted and prayed, and obtained the power of the Holy Name, by which he wrought many miracles. 12. And for seven years he conversed with God face to face, and he learned the language of birds and of beasts, and the healing powers of trees, and of herbs, and of flowers, and the hidden secrets of precious stones, and he learned the motions of the Sun and the Moon and the stars, and the powers of the letters, and mysteries of the Square and the Circle and the Transmutation of things, and of forms, and of numbers, and of signs. From thence he returned to Nazareth to visit his parents, and he taught there and in Jerusalem as an accepted Rabbi, even in the temple, none hindering him. 13. AND after a time he went into Assyria and India and into Persia and into the land of the Chaldeans. And he visited their temples and conversed with their priests, and their wise men for many years, doing many wonderful works, healing the sick as he passed through their countries.

Old Testament Sacrifice....

The Hebrews would kill animals as a sacrifice to God,as an atonement for sins...some how believing that giving up a material object was better than the mental changing that was really needed...this idea is still carried on by small sacrifices during Lent..we have not changed much....when the idea of sacrifice was presented to Jesus, He said;" When you would offer sacrifice unto our God, just take your gift of grain, or meat and lay it on the table of the poor"......

Sincerity is Essential....

A sincere desire for inner change is essential for Spiritual Advancement...A Human must really want to be different..Their first desire should be for the Truth itself,,not for ideas that please them by backing up what they already believe...The earnest soul dares to sail uncharted seas..When they finally reach port, they find that this New World, though strange at first, is what they have really sought all along....As the Mystic,Thomas Carlyle said;" I should say sincerity, a deep, great, genuine sincerity, is the first characteristic of all men in any way heroic."..............Vernon Howard

Church History in America...

I was reading an article about Christian Church history in America, the author states that in the mid nineteenth century, churches changed their path when they started focusing on loving Jesus rather than on listening to Him..The Bible slowly became a kind of ornament and a source of authority rather than a book you actually read..Sermons became more about ordinary life and less about biblical narratives..while Sunday schools focused more on morality than on learning about your own paricular denomination...................I have to agree with him on most of his findings, as the reading of the Bible was very rare in the Catholic Church that I grew up in...although learning about the Catholic denomination was constantly taught...Instead of the Bible, we had many other books that took quotations from the Bible, but we were never encouraged to read the entire Bible on our own......Perhaps, trying to keep us from coming to our own conclusions....

At- One- Ment....

This is , of course ,where we get the word "Atonement", when we have conquered the "False Ego", then sin cannot enter our minds...therefore, the end of sin is the beginning of At-one-ment with God...This is the Union with God that you seek....

The False Ego is Spiritual Blindness......

A human cannot see anything that they are unwilling to see...they are unwilling because they fear that the loss of their false and fixed viewpoints means the loss of themselves...they identify with these viewpoints,,they think that they are them ,which they are not...Now , the loss of their old nature is their very rescue, for it leads to Reality,,to their True Self....But,they will not plunge into the darkness, fearing that there is nothing beyond...There is, but every human must take the plunge for themselves...Then, everything is different.................Vernon Howard

The Feeling of Utter Despair....

The Mystic Soren Kierkegard once wrote:.".You are in utter despair about yourself?.Good..That is a needed step toward liberation..But you must face your despair fully and deeply, and not lull yourself to sleep with comforting doctrines, or shallow escapes..Face the fact of being what you are, for that is what changes what you are..Far from being your shame and ruin, honest Self-Observation leads to the very salvation for which you would gladly give everything....................So the method of Self-Observation of your thoughts and actions is imperative for spiritual growth....

Trivial Matters.....

Many people waste a great deal of their time and energy worrying about small insignificant problems...this mental activity prevents them from experiencing the presence of God....which means that you are preventing yourself from the feeling of happiness....so stay in the presence of Light, and your small trivial problems will solve themselves....As is written in the Theologia Germanica, " A man who lives in the true light and true love has the finest, noblest, and most worthwhile life that ever was or will be,,therefore, it cannot but be loved and treasured above any other life "............................Vernon Howard

.....GUILT...

Many people feel guilty because of past sins or past negative behaviors,,but you must realize that these actions were created by the false-self, not the genuine self that you are now...this is why the Holy Spirit is so important in spiritual advancement,,because once you have been touched by the Holy Spirit, you know at once that you are not the same person that you were, and you have been "born again",,if you have not had this experience, you must still forgive yourself and move ahead....As the Mystic Shakespeare said;" Come, there is no more tribute to be paid. Our kingdom is stronger than it was at that time"...

The Birth of Communion...

Communion means to bring together....many souls do not understand the real meaning of the flesh and blood that Jesus spoke about.....A few days after feeding the multitude with the loaf and fishes, many people came back to Jesus to receive more food...At this sight, Jesus said;' You men of Galilee, seek not for food that perishes, but seek for food that feeds the soul,,and , lo, I bring you food from heaven....You ate the flesh of fish, and you were satisfied, and now I bring the flesh of Christ for you to eat that you may live for evermore.....But, lo, the Christ has come, he is the bread of life that God has given to the world...Whoever eats the flesh of Christ and drinks his blood shall never die,,and he will hunger never more , and he will thirst no more................................Jesus is not saying that a piece of bread or host will become Him by a priest,,,He was saying that by becoming a Christ yourself, you have conquered the need of rebirth and need not have to continue the paths in the material world that bring the pangs of hunger and thirst....for you will be forever fed by the knowledge of Truth, and the Freedom from material existence by following the teaching of Jesus and achieving the complete freedom of Christhood,,, which is reunification with God, where there is no thirst or hunger................

Gentleness is the Child of Forgiveness...

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow once remarked that "if we could see the concealed sorrows of others,, we would be very tender to them".......We forgive them as we forgive ourselves....Our new gentleness toward ourselves can new extend itself freely to others...And now we understand something for the first time, something previously blocked by pride and vanity,,Love is not of the human self,,but of the Supreme within us....This makes us smile for a dozen reasons,,one, being that we need no longer work at love, we need only rest in the Supreme,, which is Love Itself.....

What is the Word ?.......

The Word, Amen (Aum), is the beginning of Creation.....The manifestation of Omnipotent Force ( the Repulsion) and its complementary expression, Omniscient Feeling or Love,( the Attraction) is vibration, which appears as a peculiar sound: the Word, Amen, Aum. In its different aspects,, Aum presents the idea of change, which is Time, and the idea of division, which is Space, in the Ever-Indivisible..... This is the sound that created the Universe, It is the Holy Word, It is the Vibration of the Breath of God....This is why, it is used as a Mantra and is placed at the end of all Prayers...............................see Revelation 3:14 and John 1:1,3,14............."And the Word was made Flesh".......

The Soul is always Amoral.....

Your sub-concious mind is your soul...the sub-conscious mind is always amoral and impersonal...It has no ethics or sentiments. Hence, if a person's thoughts are of an evil nature, the law of the subconscious mind will automatically bring these thoughts into form and experience...If someone's thoughts are good, wholesome, and constructive, the law of the subconscious will bring forth good experiences and happy circumstances.....This is neither more or less than the law of cause and effect, which is a universal and impersonal law........

The Nature of God.......

The Almighty Force, or in other words, the Eternal Joy, which produced the world,,and the Omniscient feeling,, which makes this world conscious, demonstrate the Nature of God the Father....As man is the likeness of God, directing his attention inward, he can comprehend within him the Force and Feeling,,the sole properties of his Self..the Force Almighty as his will with enjoyment, and the Feeling Omniscient as his Consciousness...................see Genesis 1:27

The Sermon on the Mount.....(8)by Swami Prabhavananda

Jesus said;" Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven....Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely , for My sake.......Rejoice,, and be exceedingly glad , for great is your reward in heaven,,for so persecuted they, the prophets which were before you"...................................Worldly people do not understand the value of the spiritual life...Often they mock at the spiritual aspirant, and sometimes revile him and try to do him an injury...But the spiritual man does not react to this...His mind is fixed on God..therefore, he feels the unity,,,he see the ignorance,,and he is merciful...Normally, when someone speaks ill of us or tries to do us harm,,our first reaction is to retaliate, due to our ego,,but this cuts us off from the thought of God....Therefore, all of the great spiritual teachers have taught, as Christ did, not to retaliate, not to resist evil, but to pray for those who revile and persecute us....................

The Sermon on the Mount.....(7)by Swami Prabhavananda

Jesus said;" Blessed are the peacemakers,,for they shall be called the children of God"...........Only when we have been illumined by the unitive knowledge of god, do we really become his children and peacemakers...Of course, it is true that we are always His children, even in ignorance..But in ignorance, our ego is "unripe", it is self-assertive and forgets God...We cannot bring peace until we have realized our oneness with God and with all beings.....In the book of the Hindu's called the "Bhagavata", it is written, " He in whose heart God has become manifest brings peace, and cheer, and delight everywhere he goes." He is the peacemeker Christ speaks of in the Beatitudes...............

The Sermon on the Mount.....(6)by Swami Prabhavananda

Jesus said; "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God "..........The method of God Realization that Jesus teaches is the purification of the Heart...which leads to the perfection needed for seeing God....distractions are the major problem of the soul that keeps it from experiencing God at every moment...these distractions show that the mind is still impure, and therefore not ready to receive the vision of God....the impurities consist of various impressions which the mind has gathered from birth to birth...the impressions have been stored in the subconscious mind as the result of an individual's thoughts and actions, and in their totality, they represent his character...these impressions must be dissolved completely before the mind can be considered pure............

The Sermon on the Mount.....(5)by Swami Prabhavananda

Jesus said;" Blessed are the merciful,,for they shall obtain mercy"..........To be merciful is one of the conditions necessary before we can receive the truth of God.......Envy,,Jealousy,,Hatred,,,,these are some of the universal weaknesses inborn in humanity....they are linked with our ego-sense which stems from ignorance.........How are we to overcome them ?....By raising an opposite wave of thought...When someone is happy, we should not be jealous of them,,we should try to realize our unity with them and be happy also..when someone is unhappy, we should feel sympathy and be merciful....when a man is good, do not be envious...when he is bad, do not hate him..be indifferent to the wicked....all thoughts of hate will raise a wave of hatred within our minds, increasing our ignorance and restlessness...We cannot think of God or love God until this thought-wave has subsided........If we want to find God, we have to become God-like in mercy............

The Sermon on the Mount.....(4)by Swami Prabhavananda

Jesus said;" Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled"...........The righteousness that Jesus speaks of is mentioned a number of times in the Old Testament and is practically synonymous with salvation....in other words, with deliverance from evil, and union with God....This righteousness therefore is not what we ordinarily think of as moral virtues or good qualities, not relative good as opposed to evil or relative virtue as opposed to vice,,but absolute righteousness,,absolute goodness....The hunger and thirst after righteousness of which Christ speaks is a hunger and thirst after God Himself.....We must learn to direct all our thoughts and all our energy consciously toward God....One gigantic thought wave must be raised in the mind,,engulfing all the cravings and passions, which distract us from the spiritual goal...When the mind thus becomes one-pointed and concentrated upon God, we shall be filled with righteousness..................

The Sermon on the Mount.....(3)by Swami Prabhavananda

Jesus said;" Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth"........Ignorance and delusion are characteristic of the unregenerate mind...This ignorance is confirmed and buttressed by our sense of ego...our idea that we are seperate from one another and from God....Egotism must be overcome if the mind is to be freed from delusion,,therefore...blessed are the meek................Spirituality is composed of opposites,,such as "the last shall be first"......by giving up the desire of owning (attachment) , that which only God owns,,then we realize that when we conquer the false-ego, we return to our true selves,,which is a part of God...and therefore the co-owner of the Earth......The person that has given up their sense of attachment,, experiences the advantages which possessions afford without the misery which possessiveness brings................

The Sermon on the Mount.....(2)by Swami Prabhavananda

Jesus said;" Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted"................As long as we think that we are rich in worldly goods or in knowledge, we cannot make spiritual progress..When we feel that we are poor in spirit, when we grieve that we have not realized the truth of God, then only will we be comforted....No doubt, we all mourn,,but for what?... For the loss of worldly pleasures and possessions...But that is not the kind of mourning of which Jesus speaks,,The mourning that Christ calls "blessed" is very rare, , because it arises from a sense of spiritual loss, spiritual lonliness....It is a mourning which necessarily comes before God comforts us.........When we begin to mourn as Christ wished us to mourn,,when we shed even one tear for God, then we prepare the way for the comfort of that divine knowledge.........

The Sermon on the Mount.....(1)by Swami Prabhavananda

Each day I will write about one of the teachings by Jesus contained in the "Sermon on the Mount", I hope that this will bring better understanding of your faith....I will begin at the beginning..........................." Blessed are the poor in spirit,,for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven"......In this first beatiitude, Jesus speaks of the chief characteristic which the disciple must have before he is ready to accept what the illumined teacher has to offer him...He must be poor in spirit,,,in other words, he must be humble....If a man has pride in learning, wealth, beauty, or lineage, or has preconceived ideas of what spiritual life is and how he should be taught, his mind is not receptive to higher teachings...Therefore, push your ego aside and open your heart...

The Gospel of Thomas, , verse 15

Jesus said:" When you see one who was not born of woman, prostate yourselves on your faces and worship Him...That one is your Father"...... This is Christs' way of telling us, not to worship Him but to worship His Father, whom is also our Father........................................A certain ruler asked Jesus, "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"........." Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered,,"No one is good, except God alone."........... Luke 18:18-19

The Proof that Jesus believed in Reincarnation....

In the story of the blind man, it states:" As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?".....the disciples offered two possibilities to Jesus,,either this man was blind because of the sins of his parents or because he was reaping the fruit of his own sins(karma). .If our souls do not exist prior to this birth and if the man was born blind, then when or where could he have committed the sins that caused his blindness? his soul must have existed prior to this birth to have committed sins...In other words, the blind man had a previous life....Jesus did not say, where did you get such a strange idea? as he was fully aware of the purpose and need of reincarnation............Ethan Walker

What is Happiness ?......

This is a good subject for discusssion, as it truly is the major goal of every human on earth...I believe that happiness is achieved when we not only learn but we become a different person...the person that we grew up believing that we were did not lead us to a state of complete happiness, so we began to study the source of the state of happiness...which is the Mind...The mind is not physical matter, it is invisible and therefore spiritual...thus begins our journey into the spiritual rhelms for answers...We begin to find that the Ego, which is the person that we think that we are, is actually the cause of our misery...It is also the wall that separates us from the knowledge that leads us to happiness..So we have to develop a new Ego,,this new Ego is the Ego of love,or what many call the Universal Mind (God)....becoming this new self is achieving Christhood...this is what Jesus did,and what we must do to achieve complete happiness....

Self-Observation is the Key to Freedom.....

Self-Observation is the single most important activity for spiritual advancement and inner freedom....It is the act of watching everything that goes on , both within yourself and outside of yourself..You do nothing but watch, just as if it were happening to someone else..You do not personalize..You do not react or form an opinion about anything that you observe, whether it is a newspaper headline, or an inner feeling..Self-Observation is not thinking about yourself...It enables us to see ourselves as we really are, not as we imagine ourselves to be...just by using this method of self-observation ,we will change ourselves into what we wish to become....It becomes a non labor method of change....as Jesus said;" My yoke is light"...

What is Joy ?...

Joy is to be in the state of not only happiness but great happiness....this is where we get the word "enjoyment",which means a continuation of this state of happiness....We use the word enjoyment so much, often for small preasures, that we lose the true meaning of the word...Joy is gained, not by what we acquire materially, but by giving up the notion that any material object or person can give us joy...joy is only found in the sub-conscious mind....it grows when the mind is cleared of all the rocks of foolish desire...the only desire that can bring joy is the desire to know truth....and that is because God is truth and God is love...so the desire to feel joy is really the desire to feel love....

What is Salvation ?....

Salvation is receiving the inner light of knowledge and understanding that we are not the false-self that we believe we are but are actually a part of God...this is not something that is learned through written or spoken words but a direct experience of the Divine....This Enlightenment was experienced by Gautama the Buddah which caused him to say;" I myself having attained Salvation, am a savior of others, being comforted, I comfort others, and lead them to the place of refuge.. My thoughts are always in the truth..For lo! my self has become the truth...Whoever comprehends the truth will see the Blessed One.........................Jesus also stated the same thing when He said;" I and the Father are One"..

What is the Purpose of Life?...

The purpose is to find the True Self, to grow spiritually, to develop into conscious and awakened human beings...When we seek first, the Kingdom of Heaven, all other purposes are added to us, like loving someone and being loved.................Vernon Howard

The Steps of Self-Realization...

Dimly senses something is wrong with himself.. Realizes it can no longer be ignored... Searches for answers... Encounters disappointments and frustrations... Gallantly persists... Dimly senses something new and unique within... Begins to change inwardly... Alters his external ways.... Becomes freer and happier... Continues to let the truth renew him...................Vernon Howard

The Invented Self....

The invented self is the Ego that we believe we are, it is not the real self that is hidden by the invented self...This is a fact which can never be successfully contradicted,,our daily griefs prove it conclusively...It goes like this;...The Problem..(1)humanity is unhappy because they live from their false self....The Technique..(2) They honestly observe themselves.....The result..(3)They find freedom with their real selves.....The New State..(4) Humanity is happy..........

What is Truth?.....

As the Mystic Plotinus said;' Truth is the agreement of the mind with itself"........In other words, truth is the absence of self-contradiction......As the Mystic Pascal said; "Truth is your own assent to yourself, and the constant voice of your own reason, and not of others, that should make you believe"...................Therefore Truth is a personal experience....

Is Learning Enough?......

Gautama the Buddha said;" Learning is a good thing,,but it availeth not.. True wisdom can be acquired by practice only...Practice the truth that thy brother is the same as thou..Walk in the noble path of righteousness and thou wilt understand that while there is death in self,,there is immortality in truth".........Jesus said the same thing, five hundred years later, when He stated: "Treat your brother as you would wish to be treated"..._________________

Suffering ends Suffering......

Suffering, when properly used, is the very ending of suffering..Use anguish to eliminate its own cause...Feeling anxiety is not the same as awareness of it...When you merely feel anxious, you are identified with it..You are so close that you can't see it...as we awaken to see things as they really are, our pains disappear........The Mystic Krishnamurti said; " Awareness is observation without condemnation...Awareness brings understanding, because there is not condemnation or identification but silent observation"...........So the Self-Observation that is needed to eliminate suffering, is placing the pain upon the false-self, and therefore the real self does not feel the pain...............Vernon Howard

The Path of Inner Change......

All religions and philosophies were created to provide a method of change within the mind of the student...many of the religions were tempted by power and greed to become less than they promised....For a spiritual desire to be fulfilled, inner ways must be changed.. It cannot be fulfilled by thinking, talking, or reading about change...It cannot be fulfilled by social improvements or church activities....Self-change means just one thing--Self-change.......Beneficial change cannot occur through intellectual reasoning or analysis...It cannot happen, because all thought is conditioned..It can only repeat, based on distorted self-interest......As Emerson said:" You find men talking everywhere from their memories, instead of from their understanding".........

It is Positive to notice Negatives.....

Nothing is more Positive than to notice Negatives within our thinking....Awareness of a negativity is the only cure of the negativity.....We do not like to see the dark sides of ourselves because we still identify with them...You take them as being you, which they are not...Observe the dark features, but do not say "I" to them...This is a gigantic secret which you must explore thoroughly....The time will come when you can observe anger or anguish within you as being entirely separate from your natural self........You are then beautifully free...This will lead you to the next step, which is the mental state of no anger...as anger can only be felt by the false-self..but not the real self, which is you.............Vernon Howard

The Unawakened Man.........

There is a peculiar feature of the mind which we must understand..The conditioned mind cannot possibly value esoteric knowledge...It simply does not exist for the person living from his false self...A small child is more attracted to a shiny stone that to an unpolished diamond, because he does not know the diamonds value...So it is with the unawakened man..He scorns or ignores cosmic facts..He does not know that he does not know....Receptivity is something entirely different,,It is an inner process that changes your values and uplifts your spirits..It is a state of mind that is beginning to love fact more than falsehood..It is total acceptance of yourself exactly as you are at the present moment..It is a secret process and one of delightful charm..By its fruits will you know receptivity..You will know by what it does to you and for you..." And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free"............Vernon Howard
