Once the Overself is felt in the heart as a living presence,

it raises the consciousness out of the grip of the egoistic-desire parts of our being,

frees it from the ups and downs of mood and emotion which they involve.

It provides a sense of inner satisfaction that is complete in itself and irrespective of outside circumstances.
