Striving to improve or to progress only confuses us even more.

Our appearances may lead us into believing
that we have reached a state of stability,
that changes are taking place,
that we are progressing
and are on the threshold of grace.

But in fact nothing has changed.

We have merely rearranged our furniture.

All this activity takes place in the mind,
it is a segment of imagination.
