Is insight achieved gradually or suddenly, as the Zen Buddhists claim? Here again both claims are correct, if taken together as parts of a larger and fuller view. We have to begin by cultivating intuitive feelings. These come to us infrequently at first and so the process is a gradual and long one. Eventually, we reach a point, a very advanced point, where the ego sees its own limitation, perceives its helplessness and dependence, realizes that it cannot lift itself up into the final illuminations. It should then surrender itself wholly to the Overself and cast its further development on the mercy and Grace of the power beyond it. It will then have to go through a waiting period of seeming inactivity, spiritual stagnation, and inability to feel the fervour of devotion which it formally felt. This is a kind of dark night of the soul. Then, slowly, it begins to come out of this phase, which is often accompanied by mental depression and emotional frustration into a higher phase where it feels utterly resigned to the will of God or destiny, calm and peaceful in the sense of accepting that higher will and not in any joyous sense, patiently waiting for the time when the infinite wisdom will bring it what it once sought so ardently but what it is now as detached from as it is detached from worldly ambitions. After this phase there will come suddenly unexpectedly and in the dead of night, as it were, a tremendous Realization of the egoless state, a tremendous feeling of liberation from itself as it has known itself, a tremendous awareness of the infinitude, universality, and intelligence of life. With that, new perceptions into the Laws of the cosmos will suddenly unfold themselves. The seeker must thus pass from intuition into insight.

Do not fear the egos'...
The ego needs negative energy (ego) for sustenance.. It sends out it's hunger through words and sounds as a fishing expedition.. If your ego is not weak enough, it will bite upon the hook.. see the hook then look at the injured ego thoughts and those thoughts will disappear and You will become You again.. Observation is the Key.. Awakeness is it's brother.. Stay Awake, it is so easy to fall asleep when everyone around you is sleeping.. The continued pain of the ego will eventually cause the human to seek a medicine to end this pain.. modern medicine will give you pills to help stop the pain, usually called depression, but, the Real Answer is to end that which gives You pain, the false identification with matter and thought called separate ego.........namaste, thomas
What is the purpose of Meditation?...
Meditation allows You to quiet the sounds and appearances of
the illusions of body, matter and thoughts.. the stillness left leads You into

I'M Ceded...
"I'm ceded--I've stopped being Theirs--
The name They dropped upon my face
With water, in the country church
Is finished using, now,
And They can put it with my Dolls,
My childhood, and the string of spools,
I've finished threading--too--
Baptized, before, without the choice,
But this time, consciously, of Grace--
Unto supremest name--
Called to my full--The Crescent dropped--
Existence's whole Arc, filled up,
With one small Diadem.
My second Rank--too small the first--
Crowned--Crowing--on my Father's breast--
A half unconscious Queen--
But this time--Adequate--Erect,
With Will to choose, or to reject,
And I choose--just a Crown--"

Jackie the dog...
posted by David Godman to RamanaMaharshi
Jackie the dog, who was eventually buried alongside the deer and the crow, was
brought to the ashram when he was very young. He never mixed with other dogs,
nor did he play much. Instead, he lived the life of a sadhu. He would sit in
front of Bhagavan on an orange cloth that had been provided by a devotee and
stare intently at Bhagavan's eyes. Because Bhagavan had a lot of love for him,
and because he always behaved in such an exemplary fashion, he was always very
well looked after. Ramaswami Pillai in particular took good care of him. Every
day he would wash Jackie with soap and water and remove any insects that had
attached themselves to his body. Whenever prasad was distributed, Jackie would
not eat until Bhagavan began to eat his own portion. On such occasions he would
watch Bhagavan's face intently. As soon as Bhagavan put a morsel into his mouth,
Jackie would start to eat his own portion.
I remember one incident concerning Jackie that occurred while Bhagavan was
sitting by the well, surrounded by devotees. Jackie was sitting with the
devotees, looking intently at Bhagavan, when a stray dog entered the ashram
through the back gate. Jackie, distracted by the newcomer, began to bark.
Bhagavan gently chided him by saying, 'You just close your eyes. You just
close your eyes. You just close your eyes. If you do this you will not be able
to see the dog.'
Jackie obeyed at once but some of the rest of us continued to look at the
stray dog.
When I saw what was happening I laughed and remarked, This is a good
teaching. It is not only for Jackie, it is for everyone.'
Jackie lived in the ashram for many years but I cannot remember how he
finally passed away. It must have happened sometime in the 1930s while I was
supervising the building works because I remember constructing, at Bhagavan's
request, the small samadhi shrine that is over his body.
I found the following account of Jackie's death in an unpublished account by
Narasimha Rao:
'In the early days of our going to the ashram [early 1930s] there was a dog
by name Jack. It was then very sick. Bhagavan arranged a soft bed for it and was
attending it very affectionately, attending to his wants. After a few days it
grew more weak, and was emitting a bad smell. It made no difference to
Bhagavan's attention to it. He used to take it in his arms, and holding it to
himself, caress it lovingly. Finally it expired in his hands. It was buried in
the ashram precincts with a monument over it. The dog did not show any sign of
suffering and bore it bravely.'

The Desiderata...
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

The Mystical I...

The Purpose of The Infinite Way
Once again let me remind you that the function of The Infinite Way is not merely the healing of disease or the overcoming of sin or of lack. It is rising out of the three-dimensional consciousness, out of the consciousness of good and of evil, into the Fourth Dimension, the illumined consciousness which is aware of the things of God. In this fourth-dimensional realm, you are in an area of consciousness where you not only know the things of God, but you receive the things of God, and you live under the law of God. This is Grace.
The Master, who of all persons was best known for his realized state of Christ-consciousness, used as his principle "resist not evil" and "put up…thy sword," which is a recognition that there is no power out in the world, nothing to fight. He understood the non-power of the world of effect.
You, too must lay the ax to the root, and the root of all evil is the universal belief in two powers, what Paul called "the carnal mind," the mind of good and evil. Once you understand the principle that all evil is impersonal and that it does not have its rise in any individual, you will begin to have the secret of healing work and the secret of world work, because you will not attach the sin, the disease, the struggle for power, the wrong thinking, or any other thing to an individual.
That which is anti-Christ, or so-called evil, is the carnal mind, the universal belief in two powers, which constitutes a universal hypnotism. When you have thus impersonalized and recognized the nothingness of this universal belief, you have lifted your consciousness closer to the Christ-consciousness, and then you will discover why you do not have to resist evil. God is not in the whirlwind. Power is not in the evil condition. Power, God, is in the "still small voice." Do you want God? Do you want God-power? Do you want God's grace? Then be still! And when the still small voice speaks, you have it. What happens when you are in the inner stillness is that the presence of God is realized, and it does the work, whatever the nature of that work is.
The importance of this principle is far greater than you can imagine. The realization of God is not so that you or anyone else should find health, abundance, or happiness. Be assured that God has no interest in that at all. If, in The Infinite Way, there were ten thousand or a hundred thousand of us who really attained health, wealth, and happiness, it would still not be too great an accomplishment, since there are millions and millions of people on earth and more being born every day. So our individual regeneration would be practically meaningless.
It is only insofar as the light coming to you and to me is permitted to be shown forth in the world that we serve any purpose on earth. We were not sent here just to become happy human beings. We were sent here on earth to glorify God, that God's laws should be made manifest through us and that through us the world might witness the laws of God in operation, the laws that make men free.
There is a mental inertia that operates universally in this human world, preventing even those who have been taught how to prepare themselves spiritually for the day from doing so. This mental inertia makes them forget to realize God's presence; it makes them forget to realize that mesmerism or malpractice is not spiritually ordained, and therefore is not operative in the individual consciousness that has realized the Presence. For the person, however, who does engage in daily spiritual preparation, the realization of the presence of God and the nonpower of mesmerism or malpractice nullifies the effects of universal hypnotism, and in some degree these effects are also nullified for the entire world. A group of diligent students could not only free themselves from discords, but they would gradually free their communities, families, neighbors, friends, nations, and eventually free the world.
Because each of us is so individual, we each play a different part in letting the light of the message shine through us. There are those who may invite members of their family or friends into a group to hear the tape recording, and in that way the light goes out into human consciousness. Some are further developed, and they become practitioners and teachers. Still others may aid in the financing of the different activities of the work, and thereby help to send it out around the world. Eventually, there are those who, perhaps with greater discernment than others at the moment, perhaps with greater preparedness, begin to understand the principles of The Infinite Way in such a way that they individually can be instruments in a greater measure to bring divine Consciousness to human experience. Each plays a part, and no one chooses which part he will play. But whatever is given to anyone as his particular forte, that is the manner in which he must function in this message.

IF...
IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

The Seeker of Stillness...
The seeker after stillness should be told that the stillness is always there. Indeed it is in every man. But he has to learn, first, to let it in and, second, how to do so. The first beginning of this is to remember. The second is to recognize the inward pull. For the rest, the stillness itself will guide and lead him to itself.

What is not Permanent, let go...
What is not stable and permanent, let go.
There is only one thing left.
Worlds and gods will disappear, but This will not.
When you are reminded of this keep your eye on it,
not with the intention of having it, but just to BE it!
All the things you want are in the "let go" category:
House, wife, body, parents, gods, let go.
What is left? What cannot go? That you ARE!
You cannot go because you have never come
and anything that comes must go.
Find out what it is.

The Soul by Jesus the Christ...
Answer from Jesus:
It will be helpful to make a distinction between the soul and you. The soul is a vehicle that facilitates your journey into the material universe. The soul allows you to interact with the physical body and its dense energies. Yet in many previous teachings and in many teachings on spirituality and psychology, the term “soul” is used as a very general term, and it is sometimes assumed that people understand the nature of the soul. But the soul has different aspects, and you are more than your soul, even though many people – even many spiritual people – assume that the soul is the totality of their beings.
You are all familiar with the concept of the I AM Presence as the higher self, and some people think that the I AM Presence is part of their soul, but this is not so. The soul is made from the lower energies of the material realm, while the I AM Presence is made of the higher vibrations of the spiritual realm and never descends below the level of the spiritual octaves. So When you understand the concept of the I AM Presence, you can understand that the I AM Presence is above and beyond the soul. Yet the I AM Presence does not descend into the lower vibrations. It was not the I AM Presence that fell into the duality consciousness, and, truly, before the fall into the duality consciousness, what most people call the soul had not yet come into existence—because the soul came into existence to facilitate your journey into the lower vibrations of the material universe and also of the duality consciousness.
So what was it that decided to partake of the fruit of the knowledge of relative good and evil? It was not the I AM Presence, because how could the I AM Presence fall? Neither was it the Christ self, for the Christ is always one with the Father. So there must be another part of you that is not the lower vehicle of the soul yet not the I AM Presence. And truly, that part of you is what gives you the sense of self. Mother Mary will explain this in great detail in the forthcoming book [not yet published], and she calls the part of you that makes conscious choices for the “Conscious You.” It is the seat of your free will, and it was that part of you that made the decision to experiment with the duality consciousness.
So back to your question. We might say that the soul will never really learn to love itself because the soul is a vehicle for your journey in the lower realm, and in the lower realm nothing can fully accept God’s unconditional love. So the soul cannot truly fathom the concept of unconditional love, but the Conscious You can.
What you need to ponder is the Conscious You and what it is. And if you ponder this, you will gradually come to an understanding of this, and you will come to see that there is more to you than the soul. And the unique characteristic of the Conscious You is that it has the ability to identify itself with anything it chooses. It is the seat of your free will, so it can choose to identify itself as what it truly is, a son or daughter of God, a co-creator with God. Or it can choose to identify itself as a human being who is mortal, perhaps even a sinner who is unworthy to approach God.
In fact, the Conscious You can identify itself as a rock or as a tree. Or it can think that it is Jesus Christ or Napoleon or some other being. And you indeed see people in mental hospitals who ar so identified with a person they are not, and this shows you the ability of the Conscious You to identify itself with anything because it has free will and unlimited imagination.
So you cannot teach your soul to love itself, or to love yourself. You need to get in contact with the Conscious You. Yet how can you get in contact with the conscious you—because you are the Conscious You and this is what you need to see. You see, when we give you a concept, such as the I AM Presence, it is easy for you to see that I AM Presence as above and beyond you, as being separated from you. And in a sense this is true, because when you are in the duality consciousness, you are at a lower vibrational level than your I AM Presence. Yet the Conscious You can identify itself fully with the I AM Presence. And that is when you say. "I and my Father are one!"
So my point is that before you can learn to love yourself, you must come to know your self. You must come to know the Conscious You. And then you must realize that the Conscious You is the seat of your free will and that you must choose to how you will identify yourself.
If you identify yourself with the soul, which is the lower vehicle, you will not be able to love yourself, because the soul, as I said, cannot grasp God’s unconditional love. And it is only that love, the perfect love that casts out all fear, which will give you the sense that you are worthy of God’s love. And therefore, only then can you accept God’s love.
So as you ponder this, and begin to realize who you really are as a conscious being who is making choices, you can gradually come to see that in order to love yourself you must chose to accept who you are, namely an individualization of God. And only by choosing to acknowledge who you are, can you accept that because you are created out of God’s Being, you are worthy of God’s love. And only then can you accept that God’s love truly is unconditional. And only then can you separate yourself from all identification with the lower vehicles, be it the soul, the ego, the carnal mind or the physical body, or even the things of this world.

The Overself...
The Overself perceives and knows the individual self, but only as an imperturbable witness--in the same way that the sun witnesses the various objects upon the earth but does not enter into a particular relation with a particular object. So too the Overself is present in each individual self as the witness and as the unchanging consciousness which gives consciousness to the individual.

Ego Anihilation..
The main method of anihilation of ego is to stay Awake.. this means
that You watch the thoughts of the mind, as You see thoughts of ego, just watch
these thoughts of ego and they will disappear because they are not Real.. Do not
fight against these thoughts, just stand back and watch them disappear with
observation..............namaste, thomas

Belief...
Remember when Jesus said;" If you BELIEVE and say , mountain be moved, It shall be".. The key word is Belief.. Belief is a mental certainty of an event.. We create through Belief, We have created a separate self through Belief.. We can also dissolve unwanted Beliefs through our Consciousness.. We Believe that we are not Divine Consciousness, therefore, We remain in ignorance of our True Nature and continue to create that which is UnGodly.. There was never a Divine Design for separation and ego, This was established by our parents and leaders in the training of our sub-conscious mind.. the sub-conscious mind is our Soul and the Soul is our direct link to Divine Consciousness.. the soul accepts all thoughts, both good and bad.. and does not differentiate between either.. the conscious mind can train the soul (sub-conscious mind) to accept or reject any thoughts and thus train the soul for righteousness (non-ego).. We were trained to Believe that we are the body, mind, and thoughts of the human animal that we entered as a vehicle within this world.. Now, we are just beginning to disbelieve this path of ego pain called human and beginning to finally understand who We Are.......namaste, thomas
The Powers of the World...
The Powers of the world is the Duality called ego. (some may refer to
this selfish state as Satanic).. The only Real Power is Divine Consciousness but
We Being already Divine Consciousness have the Free Will and Creative ability to
manifest that which is within our thoughts.. actually, we cannot stop the
creation that is manifested by our thoughts.. We create, mostly through
ignorance the world of pain that we exist within.. We have the same creative
ability as God,since we are God, but as long as we believe that we are separate
from God, our power will be limited.. Only upon complete dissolution of the
illusion of separate ego will We return into the Complete Power of Awareness..
but, there will be no "we", there will be no "I".. there will only be
Awareness.. The lower Divine Consciousness of Creation still contains the small
amount of ego called identity.. This is why this Power of Divinity called
Itself, "I am that I am"..the Highest Power of Divinity does not even recognise
Itself as an "I", as this would be Duality, for who is there to see
Itself.....namaste, thomas

Why is ego strong?...
The illusion of separate ego is strong because we have been taught from birth that we are separate from God and from each other.. Therefore, to break through this mental barrier of division is the quest of Spirituality.. But, the problem becomes more difficult when the teachers of the Path also are locked within the illusion and do not and cannot help you out of the illusion of ego.. This is why Solitude and Meditation is so important, as you bypass the illusions of materiality and unenlightened teachers to regain the Knowledge that is already You.. It is Spirit without Blinders.......namaste, thomas
Fear and Love...
I believe that fear is the opposite of Love and this is why it is so difficult to Realise the Oneness that is already Reality.. As Love is the absence of ego and total Love is complete non-ego or what is known as anihilation of separate self.. Fear (non-love) cannot Realise Reality, only when we have gained the courage to push through the false energy of fear, can we Realise non-fear or what we call God...This state beyond fear opens into Enlightenment.........namaste, thomas
"IT"...
With one's own being, "I" as person expands through knowledge into "It" as universal Self. When? Never. For now I perceive all this as a dream. "It" alone IS on awakening; "It" alone was then.

Jesus Speaks...
The master key to overcoming sin
And so, there is another quote in the Bible which says that the sin against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven. But the reality is, that it shall not be forgiven until it is forsaken. And you see, my beloved, when you forsake the sin, the rejection of the Holy Ghost, then you immediately become one with the Holy Spirit. And then your sin is forgiven because you are no more the same person that sinned. You have become MORE. And you see, this is the reality that we have been trying to tell you in many round-about ways.
You are who you think you are—until you think you are MORE. And when you realize and accept that you are MORE, the old self – the limited self – has died. And you have been reborn of the Spirit—when you accept the Spirit, which comes to you to set you free from that limited sense of identity. And so you see, those who speak against the Holy Spirit, those who speak against the WORD, do so because they are not willing to change their consciousness. And it is their consciousness, as I explained earlier, that keeps them outside the kingdom.
And so, what does it mean that the sin against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven? Well, my beloved, the traditional image of the Christian churches – of the remote being in the sky – makes it seem like it is God or Christ or the Holy Spirit who has to forgive your sin. But it is not so. It is YOU who have to forgive your sin by forsaking it, by changing your state of consciousness.
And the moment you change that state of consciousness, you are free of the old consciousness. And it was the old consciousness that was the real sin, not the outer actions—not even the outer actions of persecuting the Living Christ or killing him or his followers. All these things can be forgiven the moment you are willing to change yourself, to change your perspective, to let go of the false spirits—the multitude of spirits, the legion of spirits of duality that pull you hither and yon into identification with the things of this world. The moment you are willing to let them go and come into oneness with the one Spirit, well then you are free of the former self. You are no more that being.
My beloved, there is a saying that no fallen angel has ever been redeemed. And it is true. Because as long as you see yourself as a fallen angel, you cannot redeem yourself, you cannot enter the kingdom of God. So therefore, you must let the identity of a fallen being – or a sinner – you must let it die, so that you – the Conscious You – is reborn into a new identity. Do you see the reality here?
You cannot grasp this truth with the intellect
As long as you think you are separate from God, you cannot enter God’s kingdom. Only at the moment you let that separate identity die—at that moment will you be in the kingdom. This is the reality that I had to express in veiled parables, for people were not ready to understand the deeper teachings. Perhaps you feel like you are not ready to understand them today.
But I tell you again, your heart can understand it if you are willing to listen and not override it with the intellect. You see, my beloved, I am deliberately giving you a teaching here which can seem confusing. And I do this to confound your intellect. Do not sit there and try to grasp this with the intellect. Do not sit there and think, “What did he really mean? What is he really saying? How can I fit this into my old belief system? How can I fit this into my mental box?” [Laughter]
You see, my beloved, this is what the scribes and Pharisees did. And that is why they always used the intellectual mind, the analytical mind, to compare it to something else. When I stood before them and gave them the Living Word, they would immediately compare what I said and did to something else in their tradition. And that is why – because of their attachment to that tradition – they had to reject me because I went too far beyond their tradition.
And so they used the excuse that I could not possibly be the Messiah, for if I represented God I would truly stay within the boundaries defined by the old word of God—the word of God in their scriptures. But you see, that word – the moment it was given in the physical octave, the moment it became written down – at that moment it became the dead word. And that is why they used the dead word to reject the Living Word.
But you see, my beloved, you can use a scripture to open your heart to the Living Word that comes to you from inside, and many people have done this to various degrees. I see constantly Christians who study the Bible and they have these “Aha” experiences, where they are open to the Spirit. And they do make progress, but I also see that these people have an attachment to certain doctrines that they believe are beyond questioning.
And so I can give them, the Holy Spirit can give them, insights that fall within the boundaries that they have set. But if the Holy Spirit tries to give them an insight that goes beyond those boundaries, then they will reject it as a false spirit. They will reject me as a false Christ—as they reject me on my website when they encounter it, and they encounter that all of a sudden this Jesus on this website is saying something beyond the Jesus they know from scripture or the Jesus their minister interprets for them, by having come up with a tradition that is now exactly the same dead tradition that the scribes and Pharisees used to reject me. Yet, they claim that this is the true tradition of Christ. And they use their dead tradition to reject the Living Christ once again.
Aah my beloved, I am getting ahead of myself. For this is the subject of my next discourse. And I will allow you time to digest this release before I go into the next one. But you should sense from my voice my eagerness to bring forth this teaching in the physical octave, where people can study it. And where – if they are willing – it can trigger that inner realization, where they realize that this is precisely what they always knew in their heart. And now because they recognize that, because they hear it spoken, they can say, “Ah I can let go of that outer source that denied the Living Christ, and now I can accept what I have always known in my heart.”
So, my beloved, once again, thank you for your attention until I shall speak to you again, for I have much more to share with you from my heart of hearts.

Spiritual Materialism...
Spiritual materialism or spiritual narcissism are terms used to describe mistakes spiritual seekers commit which turn the pursuit of spiritualism into an ego building and confusion creating endeavor.[1] This is based on the idea that ego development is counter to spiritual progress. Chögyam Trungpa coined the term spiritual materialism with his book Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism from talks explaining Buddhism given while opening the Karma Dzong meditation center in Boulder, Colorado.
Conventionally, it is also used to describe capitalist or commercial efforts such as "new age" bookstores and wealthy lecturers on spirituality. Also it might mean the attempt to build up a list of credentials or accumulate teachings in order to present oneself as a more realized or holy person.[2] Author Jorge Ferrer equates the terms,[1] though others draw a distinction that spiritual narcissism is believing that one deserves love and respect[3] or is better than another[4] because one has accumulated spiritual training instead of the belief that accumulating training will bring an end to suffering.
Lords of MaterialismIn Trungpa's presentation, spiritual materialism can fall into three categories — what he calls the three "Lords of Materialism" (Tibetan: lalo literally "barbarian") — in which a form of materialism is mistaken to bring long term happiness but instead only brings short term entertainment, followed by longer term suffering:
1.Physical materialism is the belief that possessions can bring release from suffering. In Trungpa's view, they may bring temporary happiness but then more suffering in the endless pursuit of creating one's environment to be just right. Or on another level it may cause a misuderstanding like, "I am rich because I have this or that" or "I am a teacher (or whatever) because I have a diploma (or whatever)."
2.Psychological materialism is the belief that a particular philosophy, belief system, or point of view will bring release from suffering. So seeking refuge by strongly identifying with a particular religion,[5] philosophy, political party or viewpoint, for example, would be psychological materialism. From this the conventional usage of spiritual materialism arises, by identifying oneself as Buddhist or some other label, or by collecting initiations and spiritual accomplishments, one further constructs a solidified view of ego.[2]
3.Spiritual materialism is the belief that a certain temporary state of mind is a refuge from suffering. An example would be using meditation practices to create a peaceful state of mind, or using drugs or alcohol to remain in a numbed out or a blissful state. According to Trungpa, these states are temporary and merely heighten the suffering when they cease. So attempting to maintain a particular emotional state of mind as a refuge from suffering, or constantly pursuing particular emotional states of mind like being in love, will actually lead to more long term suffering.
Ego The underlying source of these three approaches to finding happiness is based, according to Trungpa, on the mistaken notion that one's ego is inherently existent and a valid point of view. He claims that is incorrect, and therefore the materialistic approaches have an invalid basis to begin with. The message in summary is, "Don't try to reinforce your ego through material things, belief systems like religion, or certain emotional states of mind." In his view, the point of religion is to show you that your ego doesn't really exist inherently. Ego is something you build up to make you think you exist, but it is not necessary and in the long run causes more suffering.

Christian Mystics Explained...
"Mysticism, according to its historical and psychological definitions, is the direct intuition or experience of God; and a mystic is a person who has, to a greater or less degree, such a direct experience -- one whose religion and life are centered, not merely on an accepted belief or practice, but on that which the person regards as first hand personal knowledge."
-Evelyn Underhill
What A Christian Mystic Is Not:
As you begin to discover the depths of your soul through the tradition and beauty of Christian mysticism, you will also quickly learn that there are people who feel the very term "Christian Mystic" to be highly improper, an oxymoron.
For these people, the word "mystic" summons up images of the occult, heathenism, and otherworldly spiritual attitudes or, more specifically, of concepts such as those found in "New Age" philosophies... Nothing could be further from the truth!
What Is A Christian Mystic:
So, what is a Christian Mystic? A person concerned not with knowing the letter of the Word, or religious dogmas, but with knowing the Spirit of the Word, which is to say living from within the experience of God’s word at the very core of being. A mystic, quite simply, is a lover of God who pursues the beloved from a deep realization that life as a Christian is evolving as the soul moves toward its fullness and destiny in relationship to God.
To travel into the world of the Christian mystic, one must discard concepts such as ego, pride and spiritual materialism in favor of adopting a sense of humility and hopeful expectation. It is to begin a great and stirring adventure that moves the soul from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of God.
Indeed, one begins to experience the Bible as the living Word of God, which guides the reader from an ego-centric point of view to a mature and deeper sense of God's presence. Jesus' message that the kingdom of God is not out there somewhere, but rather here, within, available to humble through faith, is a personal realization that reaches across time to every human soul willing to follow.
Mystical Knowledge:
With all this in mind, what is the basic understanding of Christian Mystics? For that, we can search in a variety of places, first in the teachings of Jesus found in the Gospels of New Testament. Secondly, within the great body of spiritual writings by such figures as St. John of the Cross, Meister Eckhart, Theresa of Avila, and others from Protestant, Orthodox, and Catholic and backgrounds. Third, there are contemporary resources from Christians of varying denominational backgrounds to explore. Ultimately, and above all others, through personal experience guided by the Holy Spirit.
The writings passed down from the early Christian Mystics are road maps, guide posts if you will, as we make the journey ourselves. The journey is based upon the Grace of God perceived by our own yearnings and pursued by love. I am thankful for the day that we live in, that others have blazed a trail before us and we now benefit from their eloquent expressions of mystical knowledge.
The Journey Begins:
To start, it is enough to understand that a "Christian Mystic" is a person who wholly accepts the lordship of Jesus through humility and finds the biblical teachings, life and resurrection of Jesus Christ, to present for them, the only way to grow in relationship with God.
Briefly, it would be misleading to simply assume that the Christ Path is easy. To embrace the Christian mystic tradition is to invite misunderstanding, abuse, and, to a great extent, persecution topped off with intense spiritual warfare. Yet, no journey is without difficulty and, in this case, one has the encouragement of Paul, who stated, "Not I, but Christ who lives in me."
Consider, Then, These Basic Starting Points:
“For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, 'The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.' There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved." (Acts 4: 11-12 NLT)
There is more to life than can be gained through the physical senses and even the faculties of the soul that shelter their harvest.
There is that which is uncreated, which pervades everything, but remains outside the reach of human knowledge and understanding. The intellect can entertain the concept of God, but not grasp God.
God cannot be reached by logic or captured by thought. Instead, one can only approach by love steeped in humble expectation of God's grace.
The qualities that mark the Christian mystic includes devotion to Christ, being humble and without spiritual pride, refraining from judgment and trusting that God speaks to the heart of each person in a way and time of God's choosing.
A Christian mystic is transformed and transforming; the transformation is an ongoing process, an unfolding of the soul. Not accomplished in a single step, one continues in humbly seeking the Kingdom of Heaven.
"The story of the Christian mystics is one of an all-consuming, passionate love affair between human beings and God. It speaks of the yearning, a burning desire for the contemplation and presence of the divine… This yearning is a candle by the fire of divine love itself, which moves the mystics in their search and leads him, often arduous journeys, to discover and proclaimed the all-encompassing love of God for humankind."

The First Peace...
The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness, with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells Wakan-Taka (the Great Spirit), and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us.
This is the real peace, and the others are but reflections of this.
The second peace is that which is made between two individuals, and the third is that which is made between two nations. But above all you should understand that there can never be peace between nations until there is known that true peace, which, as I have often said, is within the souls of men.

What is a Universal Law?...
It is the very essence of Reality.. A Law means that the Universe and Beyond follow patterns of Knowledge.. It is really all mathematics.. two plus two equals Truth.. The pattern of Energy that we call God exists within this mathematics of Reality as do We.. This is expressed as the Law of Karma and the Law of Unconditional Love.. To Love is to release an illusion of Falsehood called separate ego.. one minus one equals Reality.. The foundation of Nothingness that formed Consciousness that formed Creativity.. that formed Us.. The Free Will to deviate from the Laws of Reality is the pain called Sin.. The Free Will to enter into the Laws of Reality is called Love.. The Singular Law of God is called Unconditional Love, all other Laws only point to this.............namaste, thomas

Who hears this sound?...
One day while meditating Adyashanti heard a bird chirping and the question arose “Who hears this sound?” He then wrote this poem:
Today I awoke, finally I see the Self has re-turned to the Self.
The Self is none other than the Self.
I am deathless. I am endless. I am free.
The birds outside sing ..
The birds outside sing and there am I.
The seeing of leaves on the trees, that seeing am I.
The body breathes, breathing am I.
I am awake and I know that I am awake.
Seen from the old eyes, everything is asleep, a game, a delusion.
But now I am awake. I am the play. I am the game. I am the delusion.
I am the enlightenment I sought, looking everywhere.
Nothing is separate, nothing is alone.
I am all that I see. All that I smell, taste, touch, feel, think and know.
I am awake and this awakeness is the same as Shyakyamuni Buddha’s.
Today the leaf has returned to the root.
I am all name and form and beyond all name and form.
I am Spirit, no longer trapped in a body.
I am free. I am free because I am awake.
So ordinary. Who would have thought ? Who could have guessed?
I am home. I am really home. Ten thousand life times.
Ten thousand life times but today I am home.
Ten thousand life times but today I am home.
This is not an experience. This is me.
I am awake. Finally, I am awake.
Nothing has changed, but I am awake.
Before I tasted the root many times and felt, how delicious.
Today I became the root. How ordinary.
Today I awoke, finally I see the Self has re-turned to the Self.
The Self is none other than the Self.
I am deathless. I am endless. I am free.

Suffering...
A word of clarification may still be desirable. Standing in my real nature, I stand
as one with the whole world, and their suffering becomes mine. Is this not infinitely
superior to your keeping others separate and trying to sympathize with them, much
less to love them? You preach to others to ‘love thy neighbour as thyself’ and never
tell them how to do it. Love is a sense of oneness with the object of your love. Is it
ever possible to be one with another at the body level or at the mental level, where the
sense of separateness persists? No. You can, at the most, sympathize with them in
their suffering. And what is the result! You succeed in inviting some suffering to
yourself also, without alleviating the suffering of others.
All these remedies at the physical and mental levels are adopted without enquiring
about the Truth of the suffering, and therefore serve only to hide or cover the so called
suffering for the time being.
The ultimate remedy is to examine whether the suffering is real or not. This is what
the sage does. He examines it impartially, from the standpoint of Truth, and finds it all
a dream, being confined to one state alone. Thus, for the sage, the suffering loses all
its pangs. He invites the so called sufferer to wake up from his dream, and to see that
the suffering is an illusion. This is the only permanent remedy for all ills.
But I do not deny that your social service activities have one redeeming feature
about them. It helps the helper to attenuate his own ego, by giving him an opportunity
to sacrifice his own comforts. But, it has to be said, the method is long and arduous,
and the pitfalls are innumerable.

Suffering...
All suffering is caused by our belief in the separate ego.. We have fallen into the lower frequencies of matter and physical and mental pain by this belief in ourselves being part of matter instead of Spirit.. When You have moved beyond the belief that you are separate ego and surrendered this belief to Divine Consciousness then You enter Reality.. that state of no body,no pain and only Bliss and Love. this is our natural state.. Awakening is this experience of Knowing.. To end the suffering is the basic message of all Spiritual Masters, .. End the Ego...........namaste, thomas
Heaven...
Heaven is both within and without.. We are actually already within Heaven but are asleep and must awaken to experience It..The word Heaven has many definitions according to each religion and philosophy.. This is why the meaning of Heaven must be found within your own Consciousness..There are many levels to Heaven and levels beyond Heaven.. Heaven is a place of Spirit,Love, and Light.. Beyond Heaven is a place of Pure Awareness and Complete Love.. Divine Consciousness is Heaven and is involved in the movement of Thought and Creativity.. This is the place that we are Now.. Beyond Divine Consciousness is the Heart of God and is called Pure Awareness.. this is the place of Complete non-duality and non-identity.. This is the place where God does not even Recognise Itself.. this is our Home............namaste, thomas
The Cycles of Life...
There are cycles of success, when things come to you and thrive, and cycles of failure, when they wither or disintegrate, and you have to let them go in order to make room for new things to arise, or for transformation to happen.
If you cling and resist at that point, it means you are refusing to go with the flow of life, and you will suffer. Dissolution is needed for new growth to happen. One cycle cannot exist without the other.
The down cycle is absolutely essential for spiritual realization. You must have failed deeply on some level or experienced some deep loss or pain to be drawn to the spiritual dimension. Or perhaps your very success became empty and meaningless and so turned out to be failure.
Failure lies concealed in every success, and success in every failure. In this world, which is to say on the level of form, everybody "fails" sooner or later, of course, and every achievement eventually comes to naught. All forms are impermanent.

Why did God create anything? What were his motives?...
Answer from Jesus - December 11, 2010
First of all, the God who started the process of Creation is not a "he." The
Creator has no differentiation into what is seen as sexes in a human sense. The
Creator can be seen as the masculine polarity to the feminine polarity of the
world of form. From that perspective, one can refer to the Creator as "he," but
it is wise to avoid this in order to make a clear distinction that the Creator
is NOT the same as the monotheistic all-male God. The Creator is the source of
form and is thus beyond form. Ascribing any kind of form to the Creator causes
one to violate the first two commandments and worship a man-made God, a graven
image.
Why did God create anything? Well, why does a rose radiate its fragrance? A
being who has reached the level of self-awareness that makes it possible to
create an entire world of form creates out of the pure love of creating. The
Creator creates because it is the highest form of joy.
Another motive is, of course, to be part of the creative process, the River of
Life. The Creator sees itself as a servant who is rewarded for its service by
the joy it experiences from creating and from experiencing its creation unfold.
The Creator serves by creating self-aware extensions of itself and seeing them
grow toward the Creator consciousness so they become Creators in their own
right.
Your Creator experiences its own creation from the inside through your localized
self-awareness. Does this mean that the Creator experiences what you experience,
and thus if you are sad, God will be sad? It does not, as the Creator has an
omnipresent self-awareness, in contrast to your localized self-awareness. Thus,
the Creator can never identify itself with any experience you have. That is your
current role—until you have had enough of it and decides to stop identifying
yourself with your current experience, and thus transcend that experience.
The Creator does experience what you experience, but it does not experience it
as you experience it. Instead, the Creator sees everything that happens to you
as an expression of the gift of free will. And because the Creator knows that it
has defined a universe in which you can do anything you want without damaging
your Self or the Ma-ter light, the Creator finds joy in seeing how winding of a
path you can create for yourself before you come back to the point of
illumination—where you again accept yourself as an extension of the Creator.
You might compare this to watching a movie. The movie is not particularly
beautiful or entertaining, yet you can nevertheless admire the creativity
exhibited by the director in creating it.
Obviously, this description is not a full or complete description of the
Creator's experience, as that can never be given in words. Yet it does give you
two things to ponder. First of all, the real motive behind any kind of creation
is the pure joy of creating and the joy of seeing your creation benefit the All.
Secondly, it is wise for a human being on earth to realize that the Creator –
while experiencing what you experience – will never look at your experience from
inside your mind. The Creator looks through your mind, and in so doing also sees
what you do not see, namely how the role you have created colors your
perception. Thus, the Creator knows that no part of your current experience is
real—it is all a product of the perception filter you have created.
Some of the worst atrocities have been committed by people who have made the
mistake of thinking that God looks at their experience the same way they do—and
therefore would condone the actions they want to take. Some of the most
closed-minded people are those who will not acknowledge that God does not look
at life on earth the way they do—and thus it is up to them to expand their
self-awareness rather than seeking to justify it.
Ultimate ignorance is to think that God is confined to the mental box into which
you have confined yourself. The path of enlightenment begins when you realize
that your mental box can never confine God or any ascended being.
You will never know the Creator as long as you seek to force God into your
mental box, into your graven image. You will begin to know God only when you use
God as the ultimate frame of reference for shattering your mental box and
experiencing yourself as pure awareness.
You will know God when you experience life as God experiences it. And you can
indeed experience how God experiences what you experience—which is the ultimate
transformative experience possible on earth. This is when you will "see God" and
no longer live as man. For you can no longer identify yourself with any role on
earth.

closed-minded people are those who will not acknowledge that God does not look
at life on earth the way they do—and thus it is up to them to expand their
self-awareness rather than seeking to justify it.
For you can no longer identify yourself with any role on
earth.

Progress...
All our progress is an unfolding, like a vegetable bud. You have first an instinct, then an opinion, then a knowledge as the plant has root, bud, and fruit. Trust the instinct to the end, though you can render no reason.

The Well...
The Well
- by Rumi
We seem to be sitting still,
But we are actually moving,
and the fantasies of phenomena
are sliding through us,
like ideas through curtains.
They go to the well of deep love
inside each of us.
They fill their jars there
and they leave.
There is a source they come from,
and a fountain inside here.
Be generous and grateful
Confess when you're not.
We cannot know
what the divine intelligence has in mind.
Who am I,
standing in the midst of the this
thought-traffic?

Only the dreamer is Real...
Human beings actually have no more independence or autonomy in living
their lives than do the characters in a dream. Neither do they have
anything to do with the creation of the dream or anything in it. They
are simply being lived along with everything else in this living dream
of the manifested universe. The entire dream is unreal. Only the
dreamer is real, and that is Consciousness itself.

Master of the Mind...
No man should allow his mind to be a vehicle for others to use; he who does not
direct his own mind lacks mastery.
Bowl of Saki, May 3, by Hazrat Inayat Khan
Commentary by Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan:
Our minds need to be dusted and swept just as much as our houses, and this we do
by meditation and concentration, which wipe away all wrong impressions. We must
be masters of our own minds as well as our houses, and not allow them to be like
a furniture warehouse with all the furniture mixed up together. We must direct
where everything is to be placed, so that complete order may reign therein.
The more the mind is allowed to go on without purpose, the more likely it is to
become a vehicle or machine which all manner of influences around it of other
human beings or spirit obsessions will employ instead of its owner. If the user
of that mind is a sensible person, then it may perhaps act properly, but
otherwise the work of the mind is wasted. In any case it would not be a
fulfillment of the purpose of his life. This purpose is to learn mastery, not to
be a vehicle for others to use. He who does not direct his own mind lacks
mastery. ...
Man is his mind, is the product of his mind, and is also the controller of the
activity of mind. If he does not control his mind, he is not a master but a
slave. It lies with his own mind whether he shall be master, or whether he shall
be slave. He is slave when he neglects to be master; he is master if he cares to
be master. ... A man with a perfectly stilled, comforted, and rested mind will
at once raise up another who is going through distress, or restlessness, or
pain, or ill-temper, or worry, or anxiety. The very presence of one whose mind
is stilled gives such hope, such inspiration, such sympathy, such power and
life. All the heavenly properties flow so smoothly and freely from the person
whose mind is stilled that his words, his voice, his presence, all react upon
the mind of others; and as he stills his mind, so his very presence becomes
healing.

Love your neighbor as Your Self...
Jesus said to Love others as You Love Your Self... what self was Jesus speaking
of?.. There is only One Self and that is what we call God.. There is Nothing
that is not God.. What does Love mean?, Love is the state of non-ego.. you
cannot feel Love if your ego is in control of your mind..Therefore, the ego
(lower self) must be destroyed to enter into the state of God Consciousness..
The mental state of non-ego is our natural state of Love and God Consciousness
but we have forgotten this Truth and became that which we use as vehicles within
this world.. Some people are confused with the term ego, so let me try to clear
up this confusion.. When the ego is destroyed within the life experience, You
continue to live and work and enjoy life but with a greater Consciousness of
Reality.. You do not cease to exist as a human.. This state of
non-ego,non-existence as a human only happens during meditation, when you have
emptied the mind of useless thoughts and ego belief and entered The Real Reality
and exited the illusions of human life............namaste, thomas

Your Soul...
When you say, Your Soul.. What you are really saying is that there is something Higher that is You and possesses a Soul.. It has been said that the Soul is actually the Subconsciousness Mind.. The Subconscious Mind can be trained by the Conscious Mind to admit or reject thoughts that flow through the Mind.. This is the path of Spirituality.. The Real Self forming the Spiritual Mind of Creative Thoughts.. All of your thoughts create, whether these thoughts create a Heaven on Earth or hatred and War are the indication of the level of ego that we believe that we are.. The process of Soul Training was taught by Jesus through the mental path of constant thinking of Unselfish Love.. Our creative power will then bring this Force of Love into our lives and into the lives of others through manifestation of thought..............namaste, thomas
Enlightenment is always here...
Enlightenment is not about words and
thoughts and concepts which can be
doubted. Enlightenment is always Here.
By "Here" I don't mean this present space.
Here is somewhere within where mind
cannot reach. Presence is always Here
and you are always That. This Here is
not the opposite of "there." This Here is
nowhere, it is your Heart. When mind is
still all comes back to the Heart. All the
cosmos is but a speck in your Heart.
Turn mind over into This Here and it is
lost. Then only Light, Wisdom and Love
remain and This you are not different or
apart from.

Anyone that has surrendered the illusion of ego to a Higher Force such as God,
has only accomplished this when they have been able through mental desire to
willingly give up their lives and ego to this higher Power..At this point, the

The Kingdom is Within...
Jesus, April 6, 2007.
The one condition that determines your salvation
But what will it take to enter the kingdom? Well it will take that you understand the deeper meaning of another of my pivotal statements, namely “The kingdom of God is within you.” For truly, as long as you look for it outside yourself – as long as you think it comes with observances, with observing the beliefs and practices of an outer religion, or speaking in a certain way, acting in a certain way, eating in a certain way, using this kind of oil or that kind of crystal or lighting candles, all of these outer things – as long as you think that doing these things will bring you into the kingdom, you cannot enter the kingdom because you are trying to enter through the wrong gate.
The broad way that leads to destruction is indeed the consciousness of thinking that it is the outer things that will bring you into the inner kingdom. And so in order to enter into the inner kingdom, you need to overcome the focus on outer things. You need to draw your attention within and realize that it is only by changing your consciousness that you can enter the kingdom of God.
Now my beloved, the importance of that statement – and I speak these words primarily to the people in the world, who might read this at some point, or even pick it up from the ethers as it goes into the mass consciousness – the fact of the matter is that there is no automatic path to the kingdom of God. You cannot live a certain way – whether you define this as a good Christian, or a good Hindu, or a good Muslim, or a good Buddhist – and then think that after your physical body dies, God has to let you into the kingdom of Heaven.
For my beloved, the one condition that determines whether you can enter or not, is whether you have put on the Christ consciousness. For if you have not put on that state of consciousness, you will see yourself as separated from God. And how can you enter the kingdom of God as long as you see yourself separated from that kingdom? You see, my beloved, it simply cannot be done!
If you stand in front of your house late at night, wanting to get in and go to bed, and you are trying to unlock your front door, but you are using your car key, how likely is it that your door will be opened? Well, certainly you can see that this is an impossibility. And so can you not also see that if you try to open the door to the kingdom of Heaven by using the wrong key, you cannot enter in? And the only key is the transformation of consciousness.
And what is the key to the transformation of consciousness? Well my beloved, it is the Living Word. For by your words you shall be justified, by your words you shall be condemned. This does not mean that I, or God, or some angel, will sit there and judge you. This is, my beloved, the scare-tactic used by so many Christian churches in order to beat people into submission. They have created this false image that we sit up there in Heaven and judge people, and that we send them to a fiery hell if they do not obey the outer church while they are on Earth.
Well, my beloved – again – obedience to an outer church cannot guarantee your entry into heaven, nor can disobedience to an outer church guarantee that you go to some other place. For my beloved, it is only those who have the Christ consciousness who will enter. And when you have the Christ consciousness, you have become one with the Living Word. You have become the WORD incarnate.
Becoming one with the WORD
And what will it take to become one with the Living Word? Well, it will take what Mother Mary talked about yesterday, the willingness to see in yourself those elements that are not real, that are not in alignment with the WORD , that are based on a dualistic illusion. And then the willingness to see that these elements are not really you, even though your ego might believe that they are, even though you might have been brought up to think that they are. Because as you grow up in this world – where there is so much duality – how could you not come to identify yourself with certain dualistic illusions?
My beloved, this is natural. None of us condemn you for this. We all know what it is like to be in physical embodiment and how difficult it is. And my beloved, many of you have taken on these illusions voluntarily. And why have you taken them on? Because you wanted to demonstrate to others that it is possible to be totally enveloped in an illusion, yet still rise above it. So get on with rising above it and do what you came here for. Realize that you are more than these illusions. Be willing to look at them. Be willing to reach for the Living Word.
My beloved, we give you the Living Word in an outer sense, in our releases, in our books, through many different sources. And you can study these teachings, but the outer word will only change you if you allow it to become the Living Word in your heart, where you integrate it and where you receive, through your Christ self, the inner equivalent of the outer word. The inner equivalent that is adapted to your particular consciousness, your particular beliefs.
Each one of you hearing this will have a slightly different perspective, a slightly different understanding of the words that I speak. This is natural. And so what you need to allow is that the outer word that you hear stirs a process in your heart, whereby you receive the particular words that will help you resolve your particular illusions.
My beloved, there are many people who have a very similar illusion, such as for example in the Christian churches, where they think that by being a good Christian in an outer sense, their entry into Heaven will be guaranteed. But even though there may be a million people who believe in the same outer illusion, each person has a slightly different way of understanding it. And therefore, they have to find their own words that will help them resolve the illusion, help them see that it is an illusion and finally have that light bulb go off inside their heads and say, “Aah, now I understand, now I see it!”
My beloved, the Living Word, the outer Living Word, will help you only by stimulating that inner "Aha" experience, where you suddenly see from within what you could not see before, and what you cannot see with the outer mind. Truly, it is valuable to have an intellectual understanding of the spiritual path, and of human psychology and of the ego. But you can have a very sophisticated intellectual understanding, yet it still has not clicked, you still have not seen it.

Only One is One...
Two cannot be One.. Only One is One.. This is the reason for elimination
of the false ego that we believe that we are.. As you should know by now,
Unconditional Love is exactly opposite from ego.. Therefore, you cannot consider
Yourself a separate ego and still be Unconditional Love.. you cannot serve two
masters.. Living a good life of service to others will admit you to the level of
spirituality called heaven but, this is only the place of learning for your next
incarnation.. Only the complete elimination of separation (non-ego) will allow
Realisation of Reality or what is called Pure Awareness

Keeping Quiet...
As it rises so it falls. Make effort and it rises.
Stop effort and it falls. Make the choice!
Stay as simple natural Being without thought
or doership. Out of nothing you can do anything
and not leave footprints. No intention is no
limitation, just stay quiet, simply do not stir a
thought. Not activating the mind is to not
externalize. There is no way or method, just
keep out of the way. The revelation of the Self
will occur only when you do not interfere.
Keeping quiet is giving time to this love and
beauty. Stay as Such.

Jesus Speaks...
Concerning a topic such as this one, it is extremely important not to confuse substance and semantics. God's Presence is infinite, and all words are finite. It simply is not possible to use any words to adequately describe God's Presence. God's Presence cannot be understood but must be experienced in order to be fully appreciated. Thus, the question is whether people will focus on the words we use or see beyond them and open their minds and beings to a direct experience of the Infinite Presence within themselves—which is the only place you can find God.
Of course, thinking that particular words are more important than the hidden meaning – the Spirit – behind them is a function of a particular level of consciousness. Thus, it is highly likely that people at a certain level of consciousness will indeed argue with any particular wording we use. And as a result of experiencing this over and over again, we realize that when we talk about the topic of God (indeed, this applies to all topics, but especially to the topic of God), we must choose a wording for a certain level of consciousness and accept that those at a lower level will take offense and argue with our wording. That is why I so often talked about those who have ears to hear. (Sometimes even those at a higher level of consciousness will argue with our wording because they fail to see that it is not meant to give an absolute and infallible truth – which cannot be done with finite words – but is adapted to a particular level of consciousness that is not their own.)
As I have said several times before, there are levels on the path. Indeed, the path can be compared to a spiral staircase, leading from lower to higher levels of consciousness. The central issue that determines a particular person's level on the staircase is the degree to which the person is identified with form and thus believes that form or matter has power over his or her Spirit.
At the lower levels, a person believes there is no God and thus he or she has no Spirit. Such a person is fully identified with form and thus believes form or matter has complete power over his or her identity. At a slightly higher level, a person believes in a God, but it is the remote being in the sky that acts as a sort of personal magician who is favorable to some people and condemnatory towards others.
As a person grows towards a higher awareness, the concept of God will change very gradually, and this will eventually open up people's minds to a more sophisticated view of God. This can lead from a religious image of God as the external entity to a more spiritual, mystical view of seeing God inside oneself and eventually within all form. Yet the determining factor is a person's willingness to question his or her mental image of God. You are always at some level of consciousness and this level has a corresponding image of God.
How do you move to a higher level? Only by being willing to question your image of God. So the question is what it will take for a person to reach that willingness. For some it can take many, many lifetimes, as for example some fundamentalist Christians are reincarnated scribes and Pharisees who would not let me challenge their mental images 2,000 years ago and are now using my teachings to justify not questioning their images of the external god in the sky.
When I walked the Earth 2,000 years ago, I knew most people were not ready for the view of God I presented, but I also knew that I was giving teachings for the future, namely today when many more people are ready to understand and eventually internalize my teachings about the kingdom of God being within you, "I and my Father are one" and other such teachings.
As a person becomes more open to oneness, it is natural that the person will go through phases. In the beginning, the concept of oneness with God will be just that—a concept. This means it can be argued for or against or that a person can argue about a particular wording. Yet common for this level of consciousness is that there is no direct, unfiltered experience of oneness with God. There may be a partial experience, but it will be colored by the person's mental images.
As we have explained many times, the identification with form begins with and is a function of the consciousness of separation, the duality consciousness. The central feature of this state of consciousness is that because it is separated from God, it can never experience oneness with God. Thus, God must be understood, viewed or related to as a remote being that is not known through direct experience of oneness but is known mainly through concepts, meaning mental images.
There is a stage of the path where a person has begun to have some direct transcendent experiences, and their function is to provide a frame of reference that shows the person there is a reality that is outside his or her mental images, his or her mental box. The all-important question that determines the person's further progress is the person's willingness to question his or her mental images, even to question how they color the person's perception of life. Those who become as little children and are willing to question with an open mind and with no attachment to past images will make the swiftest progress. Those who become attached to a certain image – or even become prideful in thinking they have the only right image of God – will make slow progress or even regress.
I trust some will understand that you make ultimate progress when you come to the point, where you realize that no mental image could ever give justice to the infinite Presence of God. And thus, you need to question any and all mental images in order to open your mind fully to an unfiltered experience of God's Presence. In other words, there is a phase where you gradually refine your image of God and your relationship with God. Yet the ultimate outcome of that phase is that you let go of ALL mental images of God and even give up the idea of having a relationship with God.
One of the more subtle initiations on this path is giving up the concept of oneness with God. Did you take note of my wording? I said that you give up the "concept" of oneness. I did not say you give up oneness. What is the difference? As long as you hold on to any mental concept, you are actually having a relationship with that concept instead of the real God. It is like our often-used example of a person wearing colored glasses. The person is not seeing the world as it really is but is seeing an image of the world that exists only inside the person's mind. Some people have been so in love with their self-created image of God that they have had a relationship with their concept of God for many lifetimes. Only when they have had enough of relating to a graven image of God, will they gradually open their minds to the possibility that the real God is beyond ALL images and concepts.
As stated in the letter above, you can only have a relationship between parts that are seen as somewhat separate. The most subtle aspect of the duality consciousness is that forms – which clearly appear separate to the senses and outer mind – are seen as truly being separate rather than being expressions of the One, indivisible, underlying reality. Thus, once parts are seen as separate, they can have a relationship. This simply is not possible in oneness. Being one with God goes beyond any relationship because in oneness you are not relating to another being who is seen as being separate from yourself. Furthermore, only when there is separation is there a need for an image or concept. You need no image to describe what you are experiencing directly and with no filter.
So you see my point? There is a stage where you begin to open your mind to oneness as a possibility. Yet it is seen only as a possibility, as a mental CONCEPT rather than an actual experience. And even though you can, during this stage, have mystical experiences, your mental images will color them so you still feel like you are having a relationship with an external entity. This may give you a sense of oneness with that entity, as even a personal relationship with another human being can give you a sense of oneness.
Yet if you keep questioning your mental images of God, there comes a point where you give up the sense of having a relationship with an external being. This does not happen in an instant but very gradually, as you begin to experience the true oneness that requires no contrast.
Take note of the following remark from the question: "I find it hard to comprehend that two parts of myself loving each other can be as vibrant as the two parts of myself being in love with another, another that we are extensions of. The vibrancy and richness comes forth in the essence of it being a relationship, when something/one that's not you fellowships with you."
This describes very well the stage where a person still has not seen through all of his or her mental images. I am not saying this to in any way find fault, for as I have said this is a perfectly natural stage on the path from separation to oneness. Yet it also illustrates what we might call the fundamental allure of the duality consciousness, namely that the contrast between two opposites or separate parts makes life SEEM richer. It is indeed this very allure that has caused so many people to become trapped in the epic mindset, and those who are not willing to question this mindset simply have not yet had enough of the contrasting experiences that you can have only in duality.
Again, I am not here finding fault, as the Law of Free Will gives you a perfect right to have such contrasting experiences for as long as you like. Yet there eventually comes a point when a person begins to question whether this contrasting experience is all there is to life. And that is the moment when a person truly begins to long back for oneness—in which there, by nature, cannot be such contrasts.
How does it feel to have oneness with God? Well, here is a subtlety that at lower levels of consciousness will seem illogical, nonsensical or even contradictory. Take the statement: "My experience of God is that God is also a larger entity. More than me, more than the sum of all of us, all of the ascended hosts, etc." This is perfectly true, in the sense that you are an individualization of God and thus the totality of God is indeed more than you, more than me and more than all of us.
And it is precisely this sense of God as a larger entity that makes the dualistic concept of the almighty being in the sky seem so alluring. So how can you – as an individualization of a larger entity – come into oneness with what will (at least while you are still on Earth – always seem like a larger entity?
The way out of this seeming enigma is to contemplate, first of all, duality and the need to go beyond contrast. You might begin by contemplating the concepts we have explained of how the Buddha has no enemies and refuses to give the two dualistic polarities any power. You may also contemplate the need to free yourself from the dualistic struggle by never seeing yourself as being in opposition to or in a battle with other people or even dark forces. You understand, I trust, that I am not here talking about actions but about your state of mind. When I challenged the scribes and Pharisees, you might say I was opposing them, but the essential consideration was my frame of mind. If I had truly been seeing myself as locked in a dualistic battle with them, I would not have made my ascension.
You can then begin to realize that there is an experience of unity and oneness that is far beyond anything offered in duality. For example, you have the concept of bliss which has no opposite and thus is different from happiness, which is contrasted with unhappiness. Incidentally, overcoming the craving – the addiction, we might say – to contrast is a very subtle and difficult stage on the path. It can often lead to a state of almost schizophrenia in which life seems to have no meaning. It can lead to a form of depression in which life seems to have lost its purpose or its appeal. Yet the reality is that it is the dualistic battle that has lost its appeal to you, but you have not yet truly locked in to the bliss that is beyond contrast.
Navigating this stage can become like the dark night of the soul or the Spirit in which you actually feel you have been abandoned by God ("My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"), your higher self and the Ascended Host. The reason is that we do indeed have to withdraw for a time until you begin to find the Divine Presence in yourself. If we continued to appear or respond to you as external entities, we would only reinforce the concept of separation and that would actually freeze your growth at a certain level. It can take a lot of patience to get through this stage, yet by making a simple shift in consciousness, it can also be over very quickly. In fact, it is precisely your attachment to your mental images – and your willingness/unwillingness to question them – that determines how long it takes for you to navigate this stage.
One might say that the key to making it through this dark night is to solve the enigma of individualization. Yes, you are an individual being. But you are out of the whole. So what is your real self? Is it not the whole? Obviously, you do not get to this stage without realizing there is a higher self beyond your mortal identity. So the question is how quickly you can expand that sense of what is your higher self, until you realize that your I AM Presence is out of a higher Being, who is out of a higher Being and so on all the way to the Creator. So what truly is your real self? Is it not the totality of the Chain of Being, which encompasses all there is?
How do you overcome the illusion that individualization means separation? By realizing that God is you and you are God. Thus, there is no God but the greater self that you are. Because even though you are an individualization, you have the potential to experience the whole. The Conscious You is – as we have explained many times – beyond form, and that is why it can transcend any form – any mental image of God – and experience the totality of God.
And while it is indeed difficult to experience this totality and still maintain an existence in a physical body on planet Earth, it is certainly possible to have an experience of oneness with God that makes all concepts, words and mental images become vain and irrelevant. And that is when you stop having a relationship with a concept and begin to experience the infinite nature of the true God. And at that moment, the barrier between self and Self begins to break down, eventually leading to the point where you cannot maintain an existence on Earth and ascend into the ascended consciousness, in which the enigma of individualization is resolved through experiencing the oneness that is beyond contrast.
So how does it feel to have oneness with God while you are still in embodiment and realize you are an individualization of a larger entity? Well, again, words are inadequate. Yet using the vocabulary in the letter that started this discussion, we might say that you go beyond having a relationship with an external entity. You stop looking for or appealing to an external entity and instead begin to see God as being inside yourself. Thus, instead of thinking that an external being will come and do something for you, you begin to allow the internal God to do things through you.
So how do you come into oneness? By transcending the stage where oneness is a concept and becomes an experience that you prefer not to put into words. You see, the ego and the duality consciousness are perfectly capable of creating a very sophisticated concept of oneness that might even give you a sense of oneness. Yet as long as you are attached to words, you are not in oneness, as no words are needed to experience oneness. Words are needed only to DESCRIBE oneness, and a description is necessary only when oneness is a concept and not a direct experience.
So how do you know when you are in oneness? Well, the answer to the question. "Am I in oneness?" is ALWAYS "No!" For when you truly are in oneness, the question becomes irrelevant and disappears from your mind as the dew melts before the rising Sun of your Presence.

Karma...
The process called karma is actually a matematical equation.. It is a series of cause and effect.. Karma does not care if you remember the process of good and bad causes and effects, It just completes the balancing of thoughts.. If you want to experience only good effects, then you must dissolve that which gives you bad effects.. bad effects are called selfishness or ego.. This is why Unconditional Love was taught by all Spiritual Masters as this is the state of non-ego or non-existence of the belief in the illusion of separation.. The state of Unconditional Love is actually our natural state of existence and is known as Being, Sinless.. Sin is the cause of pain known as bad karma.. Sin is the deviation from Reality and is caused by thoughts eminating from the false ego.. Whether, you wish to believe in reincarnation or not, karma will follow your soul throughout your journeys and experiences and is the formula of creative thought...........namaste, thomas
Ego Training...
Some people believe that we should not dissolve the ego, we should train it to become good.. They speak in this manner because they have not yet attained the Wisdom to Know that ego, by it's very nature is anti-love.. They believe that anti-love can be trained to become love.. A foolish activity but, the ego says to their mind that this is the correct path.. The ego is an illusion that is created by the thoughts that wander through our minds.. we begin to believe that we are these thoughts and emotions.. We are Spirit, not thoughts, body,or make believe self.. Why are you trying to make an illusion into Reality?.. It cannot be done.. nor should time be wasted in this activity.. You are given only a small time within each body to Realise Reality before You reincarnate and start all over again with the memory of Your past Spiritual experiences erased.. The time is Now to experience God.. If You really live within the second of Now, the ego will not exist.. It will hide within your mind but will have no power over You.. It will become very small and be known as identity.. When fully destroyed and there is no longer a separate identity.. This point is called Pure Awareness and is our goal.. This is the Nothingness that ego can never experience, no matter how much training you give it.........namaste, thomas

Spirituality...
Most people do not really know what spirituality is and assume that it has to do with a religion, but this is entirely not true.. Spirituality is a path of Self learning.. It appears as a Holy State because by dissolving the false self that we call ego and by staying mentally awake to the thoughts of your mind and rejecting thoughts that are selfish and unloving, You become Spiritual.. Spiritual is that which is unseen but the fruit of Spirituality is Unconditional Love for All.. Unconditional Love was the main teaching of Jesus and all of the other Spiritual Masters... Easter...
A Mystic Disappears.. Why did the body of Jesus disappear?.. Why did these atoms speed up to form Light and leave the evidence on the shroud...Could the Knowledge that the soul was not the illusion of body have a bearing on the existence of the body.. Consciousness forms the illusion that trillions of atoms are forming a hologram of the material world and body.. This is the reason that we say that the world is an illusion, It is just the Thought Energy from Divine Consciousness.. Science is just beginning to understand the hologram aspect of material existence that is spoken to them through the language of mathematics.. Through the dissolving of the illusion of Jesus' body and the rebuilding of the illusion of body in His later apparitions form a dialogue of visible and invisible. which is just an awareness of only a small frequency of Light.. Was this episode of life and death meant to instill us with higher belief in the Truth of His teachings, or was it for something that only each One of us can understand within Spirit?...........namaste, thomas

Enlightenment is not about words and
thoughts and concepts which can be
doubted. Enlightenment is always Here.
By "Here" I don't mean this present space.
Here is somewhere within where mind
cannot reach. Presence is always Here

not the opposite of "there." This Here is
nowhere, it is your Heart. When mind is
still all comes back to the Heart. All the

Turn mind over into This Here and it is

remain and This you are not different or

thoughts and concepts which can be
doubted. Enlightenment is always Here.
By "Here" I don't mean this present space.
Here is somewhere within where mind
cannot reach. Presence is always Here
and you are always That. This Here is
not the opposite of "there." This Here is
nowhere, it is your Heart. When mind is
still all comes back to the Heart. All the
cosmos is but a speck in your Heart.
Turn mind over into This Here and it is
lost. Then only Light, Wisdom and Love
remain and This you are not different or
apart from.
