Rigpa...
Rigpa:
"It is not a seeing in which there is a ‘me’ that sees. Neither is it a seeing in which there is nothing at all, no identity whatsoever. It’s not a seeing of a total absence, of nothingness. Rather, it’s a seeing that there is no thing, no concrete thing. That is called seeing the mind essence.
In the Dzogchen context, this seeing of mind essence is called rigpa.
Rigpa means some sense of knowing, an awake quality.
In Tibetan we talk about rigpa and ma-rigpa, knowing and unknowing. This unknowing is usually called ignorance.
Rigpa is the simultaneous knowing of three qualities: the quality of being empty, the quality of being cognizant, and the quality of being unconfined."
