In meditation, one can see from the viewpoint of the witness,
the observer, that the field of consciousness itself is
watching the mind and that it is futile to struggle with it. It is
helpful to realize that the mind is not 'me'. It is an impertinence;
it is seductive. It tries to convince you that you are it.
