The Stopping of the Mind...

This stopping of the mind is one of the universal hallmarks of grace. Whatever realizations occur. the stopping of the flow of thoughts is essential. Otherwise, you conceptualize realizations as soon as the moment passes. If you are practicing the supreme yoga of rest, after grace stops the mind you are vigilant in not picking up the next thought. You see thought start to rise like a bubble out of emptiness, but you don't touch it no matter how great the temptation. This is your response to grace.
If you meet grace with an open clear vigilance that does not touch any thought at all, then silence deepens beyond measure, and you experience a deeper union as the mind is reabsorbed back into the soul, the soul reabsorbed back into its source. Silence then reveals the deeper realms of emptiness hidden by the veils of the mind
