In this deep stillness wherein every trace of the personal self dissolves,

there is the true crucifixion of the ego.

This is the real meaning of the crucifixion,

as it was undergone in the ancient Mystery Temple initiations and as it was undergone by Jesus.

The death implied is mental, not physical.
