Boredom...

Boredom isn’t real. It is entirely mind-created. A thought arises that says that something ought to be happening other than what is happening. That thought creates a sort of vacuum that sucks up the energy inherent in presence.

It makes this moment look as if it lacks something. The mental projection towards future that says, “I need something to happen,” and the current sense of lack arise together as one movement.

In simply noticing the thought that says something else ought to be happening as soon as it arises, there is a seeing that what you are is the presence that is noticing the thought. Presence lacks nothing. It is totally complete. Presence is not bored.

Boredom is an illusion created by believing thoughts of future, which in turn fuel a sense of current lack. Presence is perfectly and naturally in alignment with what is happening right now. Even if boredom arises, presence allows it to be exactly as it is.
