ordinary human beings...
When those who share about their "awakening" claim that no ordinary human responses of anger, sadness, personal love, relative level identification with ordinary human roles or functions,
occasional concerns over some situation or other, never arise at all or under any circumstances in everyday experience, it sets up a very "lofty", inhuman and IMO unrealistic conceptual ideal or myth about what "life after awakening" is supposed to look like.
It is time for people everywhere who have had a profound perceptual shift or awakening to "come out of the closet" as ordinary human beings.
Awakening does not bypass our humanity or cause it to disappear but informs it and helps us move through it with much more skill and grace.
Awakening does not destroy our humanity but it certainly shifts our relationship to it.
Utterly denying, repressing or otherwise by-passing one's humanity is not "enlightenment" but rather, a dissociative, psychological dysfunction.
