We as the illusion of separate egoic entities always feel a nagging consciousness to return to the Oneness of Source..

This nagging is the pain of egoic consciousness..

The pain is overcome by retaining the consciousness of non-egoic consciousness called 'Unconditional Love'..

This is the Path of all Mystics..
