BOB DYLAN -All Along The Watchtower (Live in Woodstock 1994)

' Healing '...

Healing of the physical without the change in the mental and spiritual aspects brings little real help to the individual in the end. How true, because the mind and the body imprint and imitate each other. What we think, we become. What we become, we think. It's an insidious process that can predispose us to illness or it can lead us to health. ..........................Edgar Cayce

' Matter '...

Matter is capable of infinite subdivision...All matter is in a state of perpetual activity [motion], whether the substance under consideration be inanimate or animated, visible or invisible...There is no dividing of matter and force into two distinct terms, as they both are ONE. FORCE is liberated matter. MATTER is force in bondage. .................John Ernst Worrell Keely

' Die to Ego '...

It is never late to ask yourself “Am I ready to change my life, am I ready to change myself?”. However old we are, whatever we went through, it is always possible to reborn. If each day is a copy of the last one, what a pity! Every breath is a chance to reborn. But to reborn into a new life, you have to die before dying. ............Shams Tabrizi

' Making a Life '...

From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life. ...................Arthur Ashe

' Consciousness '...

Before the world was, consciousness was. In consciousness it comes into being, in consciousness it lasts and into pure consciousness it dissolves. At the root of everything, is the feeling 'I am'. The state of mind: 'there is a world' is secondary, for to be, I do not need the world, the world needs me. ...............Nisargadatta Maharaj

' Science '...

Science, my lad, is made up of mistakes, but they are mistakes which it is useful to make, because they lead little by little to the truth. ......................Jules Verne

' Ashes and Dust '...

I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time. ...................Jack London

Absence, the highest form of presence. ..............James Joyce

' Toleration of Wrong '...

Every time we turn our heads the other way when we see the law flouted, when we tolerate what we know to be wrong, when we close our eyes and ears to the corrupt because we are too busy or too frightened, when we fail to speak up and speak out, we strike a blow against freedom and decency and justice. ....................Robert Kennedy

' To Become Imperceptible '...

To become imperceptible oneself, to have dismantled love in order to become capable of loving. To have dismantled one's self in order finally to be alone and meet the true double at the other end of the line. A clandestine passenger on a motionless voyage. To become like everybody else; but this, precisely, is a becoming only for one who knows how to be nobody, to no longer be anybody. To paint oneself gray on gray. ...................Gilles Deleuze

' Time is Misleading '...

It's being here now that's important. There's no past and there's no future. Time is a very misleading thing. All there is ever, is the now. We can gain experience from the past, but we can't relive it; and we can hope for the future, but we don't know if there is one. ...................George Harrison

' Beauty '...

The kind of beauty I want most is the hard-to-get kind that comes from within - strength, courage, dignity. .......................Ruby Dee

' Understanding Self '...

The problem lies within the definitions of self and non-self.. The first Reality is to acknowldge that You are not the false self called ego and that You are actually Divine Consciousness.. This is called Enlightenment and requires the surrender of egoic consciousness.. This is our natural state and contains no ego but does contain 'Personality'.. This 'Personality' is called God and is the source of manifestation.. This 'Personality' is Us.. The Final Reality is the state of Nothingness or what is called 'Pure Awareness'.. This is the Void of non-ego and non-Personality.. This is the place that some are speaking of.. This place is rarely achieved by humans while in the manifestations.. It is easier to surrender the 'Personality' of Divine Consciousness while within the state of 'Divine Consciousness'.. This is the "Crucifixion of Self".. The Ending of Separation.. Complete Freedom of Non-existence.. ............. thomas

Coptic Hymns Evening

' The Coptic Hymn '...

This walk to Truth... Above these words are the Coptic Hymn.. They speak of sin, which they do not understand.. Sin is the distance between duality.. Sin truly means to be deceived.. Sin is the distance that You are from Reality.. So easy for me to say, but understanding is another matter.. You are seeking to discover the Heart that already exists within You.. This 'you' and 'You' that I write about are most pleasing within the mind of discovery.. You as Consciousness wants a challenge, as also we do.. Therefore, We begin this walk to Truth... ...............thomas

Van Morrison - Days Like This

' The Kingdom '...

Jesus' kingdom was not like the popular expectation. He used the phrase 'kingdom of God' with a different meaning. His kingdom was not of this world (John 18:36). It was not like the kingdoms of this world. It was the kingdom of God, a supernatural kingdom. It was invisible to most people (John 3:3)-it could not be understood or experienced without the Holy Spirit (v. 6). God is Spirit, and the kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom. ......................Tom Harpur

' The State ' ...

The State has always one purpose: to limit, control, subordinate the individual and subject him to the general purpose Through its censorship, its supervision, and its police the State tries to obstruct all free activity and sees this repression as its duty, because the instinct of self-preservation demands it. The State does not permit me to use my thoughts to their full value and communicate them to other men unless they are its own Otherwise it shuts me up. ............Max Stirner

' Self-education '...

Self-education is, I firmly believe, the only kind of education there is. The only function of a school is to make self-education easier; failing that, it does nothing. ............Isaac Asimov

' The root of delusion '...

"The root of delusion comes from the mind And he who knows the inwardness of the mind Sees that the clear light within neither comes nor goes. And when the mind that is deceived by the appearance of outward things Has discerned the nature of appearance, It knows that there is no distinction between appearance and the void. Again when the mind discerns the nature of meditation It also discerns what is not meditation, And that there is no distinction between the two. For distinctive thought is the root of delusion And such thought has never been of the ultimate truth." ......................Milarepa

' Buddhism is not a Religion '...

Buddhism is not a religion.. Gautama never spoke of a God... He spoke of a Reality of Thought... the idea that you as Consciousness will become what you think of all day... You create the Hologram that you now experience... this idea of gaining what you desire.. this law of attraction.. when you surrender this 'you' that you believe is real... you will find Reality and Freedom...............thomas

' Everything Passes Away '...

Everything passes away-suffering,pain, blood, hunger, pestilence. The sword will pass away too, but the stars will remain when the shadows of our presence and our deeds have vanished from the Earth. ' Belief '...

Every man gives his life for what he believes. Every woman gives her life for what she believes. But to surrender what you are, and live without belief - that's more terrible than dying - more terrible than dying young. .............Joan of Arc

' The Mystical I '...

When the Spirit of the Lord is upon you, you are ordained, but you are not ordained to be set apart. You are ordained to heal the sick, to comfort, to feed, to forgive. That is the purpose of ordination~ not that you may be glorified but that you may be better equipped to give more abundantly, to share more freely, to understand more universally that it is not only the children of your flesh who are your children, but that all children of this world are your children, and you have an equal responsibility to share with them. You must be able to look out upon this world and say unto it: "The Spirit of God in me is your Father. You may look to the Father within me for substance and sustenance. You, friend or so-called foe, may look to the Spirit of God in me, the fatherhood of God in me, for your care." Then you will understand this relationship that has been kept secret from the world, the invisible bond that exists among all mystics. The visible and invisible mystics of the world who have recognized I standing at the door of their consciousness, are eternally united in consciousness, sharing with one another. I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it. ~ Revelation 3:8 ~ Joel S. Goldsmith, The Mystical I

' I am Self '...

' Annamalai Swami Quotes and Sayings '... 1.Your ultimate need is to get established in the changeless peace of the Self. For this you have to give up all thoughts. 2.Remember that nothing that happens in the mind is 'you', and none of it is your business. You don't have to worry about the thoughts that rise up inside you. It is enough that you remember that the thoughts are not you. 3. If you can hold on to this knowledge 'I am Self' at all times, no further practice is necessary. 4.Tayumanuvar, a Tamil saint whom Bhagavan often quoted, wrote in one of his poems: 'My Guru merely told me that I am consciousness. Having heard this, I held onto consciousness. What he told me was just one sentence, but I cannot describe the bliss I attained from holding onto that one simple sentence. Through that one sentence I attained a peace and a happiness that can never be explained in words.' 5.There are so many thoughts in the mind. Thought after thought after thought. But there is one thought that is continuous, though it is mostly sub-conscious: 'I am the body'. This is the string on which all other thoughts are threaded. Once we identify ourselves with the body by thinking this thought, maya follows. It also follows that if we cease to identify with the body, maya will not affect us anymore. 6.If you are having trouble with your enthusiasm for sadhana, just tell yourself, 'I may be dead in seven days'. Let go of all the things that you pretend are important in your daily life and instead focus on the Self for twenty-four hours a day. Do it and see what happens. 7.Go deeply into this feeling of 'I'. Be aware of it so strongly and so intensely that no other thoughts have the energy to arise and distract you. If you hold this feeling of 'I' long enough and strongly enough, the false 'I' wll vanish leaving only the unbroken awareness of the real, immanent 'I', consciousness itself. 8.Sadhana is a battlefield. You have to be vigilant. Don't take delivery of wrong beliefs and don't identify with the incoming thoughts that will give you pain and suffering. But if these things start happening to you, fight back by affirming, 'I am the Self; I am the Self; I am the Self;'. These affirmations will lessen the power of the 'I am the body' arrows and eventually they will armour-plate you so successfully, the 'I am the body' thoughts that come your way will no longer have the power to touch you, affect you or make you suffer.

' Nirvana '...

The traditional Buddhist belief that all happiness must in the end change into unhappiness is not a cheerful one. It need never be taken too literally as being universally true, nor by itself alone, for there are counter weighting truths. When Buddha brought to an end the meditation which culminated in final enlightenment, dawn was just breaking. The last star which vanished with the night and the first one which he saw as he raised his head was Venus. What was his inner state, then? Did it synchronize with the reputed planetary influence of Venus--joyous and happy felicity--or with the gloomy view of life which tradition later associated with Buddhism? Who that has had a glimpse of those higher states, felt their serenity, can doubt it was the first? The Overself is not subjected to suffering. But this is not to say that it is bubbling with happiness. It is rather like an immensely deep ocean, perfectly tranquil below the surface. That tranquillity is its ever-present condition and is a true joyousness which ordinary people rarely know. This is what Buddha felt. This is what he called NIRVANA. -Paul Brunton

' Victim Identity '...

A victim identity will create an ego that is more rigid and impenetrable than the old one what a cautionary ⛔️ tale against identification with mental formations, mind boggling. Many Blessings 🙏🏾♥️♾♥️🙇‍♀️🥰🤩 “The answer is simple, once you realize what the ego is and how it works. When forms that you had identified with, that gave you your sense of self, collapse or are taken away, it can lead to a collapse of the ego, since ego is identification with form. When there is nothing to identify with anymore, who are you? When forms around you die or death approaches, your sense of Beingness, of I Am, is freed from its entanglement with form: Spirit is released from its imprisonment in matter. You realize your essential identity as formless, as an all-pervasive Presence, of Being prior to all forms, all identifications. You realize your true identity as consciousness itself, rather than what consciousness had identified with. That’s the peace of God. The ultimate truth of who you are is not I am this or I am that, but I Am. Not everybody who experiences great loss also experiences this awakening, this disidentification from form. Some immediately create a strong mental image or thought form in which they see themselves as a victim, whether it be of circumstances, other people, an unjust fate, or God. This thought form and the emotions it creates, such as anger, resentment, self-pity, and so on, they strongly identify with, and it immediately takes the place of all the other identifications that have collapsed through the loss. In other words, the ego quickly finds a new form. The fact that this new form is a deeply unhappy one doesn’t concern the ego too much, as long as it has an identity, good or bad. In fact, this new ego will be more contracted, more rigid and impenetrable than the old one.”................... Excerpt From A New Earth Eckhart Tolle
