' Life Unfolding '...

"The following strange question formed itself in my mind:

Are you going to wait until you are about to die to surrender, or will you do it now?

I didn't answer the question with words, but there was a kind of emotional and spiritual release that happened there on the side of the road that seemed to be a kind of watershed moment for me.

The fruit of this experience was that, from that day to this, I have had a deep sense that what I used to think of as `my life' was really no longer mine and that all was unfolding somehow as it was meant to, simply as it had to."
