Who seeks enlightenment ?...

WHAT OR WHO is seeking enlightenment? It cannot be the higher Self, for that is itself of the nature of Light. There then only remains the ego! This ego, the object of so many denunciations and denigrations, is the being that, transformed, will win truth and find Reality even though it must surrender itself utterly in the end as the price to be paid.

ANTHONY: YOU don't get the truth until you pay the price, and that means you get rid of the ego.

PC: The second quote says the ego, transformed, will win truth.

ANTHONY: Yes. The ego transformed, disciplined, purified. It is that which will win truth.

PC: But the first one says that the ego will not find truth.

ANTHONY: No, the ego cannot find truth because obviously the way it will get the truth is when it gives itself up. Now when it gives itself up, there's no ego that wins the truth. You want the truth, you get rid of your ego. But at the same time you're not going to get rid of your ego until you have sufficiently developed it, purified it, and brought it under the higher discipline, the higher philosophy.
