The sage has conquered separativeness in his mind and realized the
ALL as himself. The logical consequence is tremendous. It follows that
there is no liberation from the round of births and rebirths for the
sage; he has to go through it like the others. Of course, he does this
with full understanding whereas they are plunged in darkness. But if
he identifies himself with the All, then he can't desert but must go
on to the end, working for the liberation of others in turn. This is
his crucifixion, that being able to save others he is unable to save
himself. "And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, `And he was
numbered with the transgressors.'^^ Why? Because compassion rules him,
not the ego. Nobody is likely to want such a goal (until, indeed he is
almost ready for it) so it is usually kept secret or symbolized.

Pride and Humility...
A man of piety was following Christ. A thief seeing this thought to
himself, "If I sit in the company of the pious one, perhaps God may for
his sake forgive me." Prompted by humility in his heart, the thief
started condeming himself for the impious life he had led. He
considered himself unfit to sit by the side of such a saint. On the
other hand, the pious man, seeing the thief seated by his side,
reprimanded him least his shadow corrupt him. Immediately Christ heard

washed clean the scrolls of both. The virtues of the pious and the
sins of the thief are washed clean. Now they must start life again.

All is Mind...
The world is neither an illusion nor a dream but is analogically like both. It is true that the mystics or yogis do experience it as such. This is a step forward toward liberation but must not be mistaken for liberation itself. When they pass upward to the higher or philosophic stage they will discover that all is Mind, whether the latter be creatively active or latently passive; that the world is, in its essential stuff, this Mind although its particular forms are transient and mortal; and that therefore there is no real difference between earthly experience and divine experience. Those who are wedded to forms, that is, appearances, set up such a difference and posit spirit and matter, nirvana and samsara, Brahman and Maya, and so forth, as antithetic opposites, but those who have developed insight perceive the essential stuff of everything even while they perceive its forms; hence they see all as One. It is as if a dreamer were to know that he was dreaming and thus understand that all the dream scenes and figures were nothing but one and the same stuff--his mind--while not losing his dream experience.

The definition of Soul and Spirit must be considered... I
believe that we are Spirit and Consciousness, just as God is Spirit
and Consciousness.. So the Spirit of God and of course ourselves use
the illusion of a material body as a vehicle for learning.. The Soul
being the recording device of all activities, mental and physical....
I believe that the Soul is a direct link to Universal Consciousness,

trained to have thoughts only of Love if the Soul is to have a direct

Power...
Nothing has power but God, unless you make it so. Do not worry
about your fears and do not worry about your sins. If you contact
God, your fears and your sins will both disappear, and if you do not
contact God, being pure will not help you. The purest men and women
in the world have had diseases and deaths. A person can be the most
unregenerate sinner in the world, but he/she will be made as white as
snow in the moment that he/she contacts God. It makes no difference
what their fears or sins may be today. Do not sit in judgment on
them; do not criticize or condemn them. Remember that your function
is to reveal the Christ, and instead of sitting in judgment on the
Magdalenes and thieves and alcoholics, turn around and love them,
forgive them, understand them, and place them in God's keeping where
God's love and God's forgiveness and God's grace can reach them.
One second of God-realization will dispel any sin, any disease, or
any fear that has ever existed on the face of the earth~ but it must
be God-realization and not just talk about God or preaching about
God. God-experience must come to you, and that experience is what
dispels the sins, diseases, and illusions of the world. Keep your
consciousness attuned to God, never bringing your thought down to the
level of a patient, a discord, or an inharmony because, when you do
that, your thought is not stayed on God, and you are missing the
opportunity of experiencing God.

Life is differentiated by the pairs of opposites.
If there was no pain one would not enjoy the experience of joy. It is
pain which helps one to experience joy. Everything is distinguished
by its opposite. The one who feels pain deeply is more capable of
experiencing joy. And personally, if you were to ask me about pain, I
should say that if there was no pain life would be most uninteresting
to me. For it is by pain the heart is penetrated, and the sensation
of pain is deeper joy. Without pain the great musicians and poets and
dreamers and thinkers would not have reached that stage which they
reached and from which moved the world. If they always had joy, they
would not have touched the depths of life.
There is the sun and there is the moon, there is man and woman, there
is night and there is day. The colors are distinguished by their
variety and so are the forms. Therefore to distinguish anything there
must be its opposite; where there is no opposite we cannot

Life is differentiated by the pairs of opposites.
If there was no pain one would not enjoy the experience of joy. It is
pain which helps one to experience joy. Everything is distinguished
by its opposite. The one who feels pain deeply is more capable of
experiencing joy. And personally, if you were to ask me about pain, I
should say that if there was no pain life would be most uninteresting
to me. For it is by pain the heart is penetrated, and the sensation
of pain is deeper joy. Without pain the great musicians and poets and
dreamers and thinkers would not have reached that stage which they
reached and from which moved the world. If they always had joy, they
would not have touched the depths of life.
There is the sun and there is the moon, there is man and woman, there
is night and there is day. The colors are distinguished by their

Forgiveness...
The first step towards forgiveness is to forget.

In order to learn forgiveness man must learn tolerance first. And
there are people whom man cannot forgive. It is not that he must not

They say, 'Forgive and forget', which is very expressive of the
process of forgiveness. It is impossible to forgive unless you can
forget. What keeps man from forgiving his fellow man is that he holds

suffering the pain. It may also be pictured as putting a drop of
poison in one's own heart and retaining it until the whole heart
becomes poisoned. Verily, blessed are the innocent, who do not notice
anybody's fault, and the greater credit is to the mature souls, who,
recognizing a fault, forget it and so forgive. How true are the words
of Christ, 'Let those throw a stone who have not sinned.' The
limitations of human life make man subject to faults. Some have more
faults, some have less, but there is no soul without faults. As
Christ says, 'Call me not good.'
Forgiveness is a stream of love, which washes away all impurities
wherever it flows. By keeping this spring of love, which is in the
heart of man, running, man is able to forgive, however great the
fault of his fellow man may seem. One who cannot forgive closes his
heart. The sign of spirituality is that there is nothing you cannot
forgive, there is no fault you cannot forget. Do not think that he
who has committed a fault yesterday must do the same today, for life
is constantly teaching and it is possible in one moment a sinner may
turn into a saint.

A Teacher...
The few who have a broad experience of life, whose reason is sufficiently alive to judge both fruits and roots correctly and whose intuition is sufficiently active to recognize nobility when meeting it, who want the whole truth and nothing less, will find a friend (for he will not wish to be anything more) who will decline to permit others to hold a fanciful vision of an earthly perfection which is non-existent; who will be humble, sane, and balanced above all things, and yet prove with time--if they themselves prove loyal--to be also a sure and benevolent guide in this dark forest where so many wander bewildered, deceived, or self-deceived. Excessive unreflective saint-worship raises exaggerated and even false hopes. It has historically often ended with exploitation of the worshipper. Nothing but Freedom...
As long as you perceive that anyone is holding you back you have not taken full responsibility for your own liberation.
Liberation means that you stand free of making demands on others and life to make you happy.
When you discover yourself to be nothing but Freedom, you stop setting up conditions and requirements that need to be satisfied in order for you to be happy.
It is in the absolute surrender of all conditions and requirements that Liberation is discovered to be who and what you Are. Then the love and wisdom that flows out of you has a liberating effect on others.
The biggest challenge for most spiritual seekers is to surrender their self importance, and see the emptiness of their own personal story.
It is your personal story that you need to awaken from in order to be free.
To give up being either ignorant or enlightened is the mark of liberation and allows you to treat others as your Self.
What I am describing is the birth of true Love.
The revelation of perfect unity reveals the true impersonality of all relationships. The ego always interprets "impersonal" as meaning cold, distant, and aloof. However, "impersonal" simply means not personal, or void of a separate me and a separate you.
The mind cannot comprehend of a relationship without separate entities. Much as a character in a dream cannot comprehend that all other dream characters are simply manifestations of the same dreamer.
Yet when the dreamer awakens, he instantly comprehends that the entire dream, and all the characters in it, were none other than projections of his own self.
In the dream there is the appearance of separate, personal entities in relationship, but upon awakening one comprehends the impersonal (non-separate) Self that is the source of all appearances.
To deeply inquire into the question "Who is another?" can lead to the direct experience that the other is one's own Self -- that in fact there is no other. However, I have seen that for most seekers, even this direct experiential revelation is not enough to transform the painfully personal ways they relate.
To come to this profound transformation requires a very deep investigation into the implications inherent within the experiential revelation that there is no other.
It is in the daily living of these implications that most seekers fail. Why? Because, fundamentally, most people want to remain separate and in control.
Simply put, most people want to keep dreaming that they are special, unique, and separate, more than they want to wake up to the perfect unity of an Unknown which leaves no room from any separation from the whole.
Inherent within the revelation of perfect unity (that Consciousness is all there is) is the realization that there is no 'other'.
The implications of this realization reveal that in order to manifest that unity in the relative world, one must renounce the dream of being a separate self seeking to obtain anything through relationship with another.
Indeed, personal relationship appears to happen in the relative world, but in reality, all appearances simply arise as temporary manifestations of a unified whole.
In the relative world these appearances are in relationship, but not as separate entities. Rather, they are the play of the one Self projecting itself as apparent entities in relationship to one another.
As long as you identify yourself with the projection of separateness, you will continue to deny that you are the Source of all projections.
When you truly and absolutely awaken to this fact, and comprehend the overwhelming implications inherent within this awakening, you will continually experience that all apparently personal relationships are in truth nothing other than the play of your Self.
To realize that the personal me is an illusion born of false identification with the body, thoughts, and emotions, brings a profound sense of freedom.
This is fundamentally the realization of emptiness, of what you are not. But contained within the realization of emptiness (formlessness) is also the realization of what you ARE.
In the most absolute sense you ARE this conscious emptiness which is the source of all appearances (existence). But you are the appearance as well. Not just one part of the appearance called "me", but all of it, the entire whole.
This is the challenge, to let your view get this vast. To let your view get so vast that your identity disappears. Then you realize that there is no other, and there is nothing personal going on.
Contrary to the way the ego will view such a realization, it is in reality the birth of true love. A love which is free of all boundaries and fear.
To the ego such uncontaminated love is unbearable in its intimacy. When there is no clear separating boundaries and nothing to gain the ego becomes disinterested, angry, or frightened.
In a love where there is no other there is nowhere to hide, no one to control, and nothing to gain. It is the coming together of appearances in the beautiful dance of the SELF called Love.
To the seeker who is sincere, an experiential glimpse of this possibility is not enough. If you are sincere you will find it within yourself to go far beyond any glimpse.
You will find within your Self the courage to let go of the known and dive deeply into the Unknown heart of a mystery that calls you only to itself.

God has no Ego...
Ego is the illusion of a separate self that we have created to become separate gods.. This is of course both true and a lie.. We have the abilities to create the illusions of materiality by thought but we have forgotten that the source of this power is the non-ego within us.. the ego is the self that many of us believe that we are because we have collected a bundle of thoughts through multiple incarnations that we have formed into the imaginary being that we think that we are.. Since ego is the constant thought of this imaginary grouping of thoughts, we have become Self-ish, and selfishness is the opposite of Love.. Therefore, the Force and Unification of Love cannot contain an Ego.. This is why we have to relinquish this false ego to be blended into the Egolessness that is called God................namaste, thomas

The Higher Self...
Krishna, in the Bhagavad Gita, is the individual's own
higher self. He must keep his inner shrine within the
heart reserved for the Ideal. He should worship there
the Spirit that is birthless and deathless,
indestructible and divine. Life in this world is like
foam on the sea: it passes all too soon; but the
moments given in adoration and obeisance to the Soul
count for eternal gain. The most tremendous historic
happenings on this earth are, after all, only pictures
that pass through consciousness like a dream. Once the
seeker awakens to the Real, he sees them for what they
are. Then he will live in Its serenity, and it will no
longer matter if the pictures themselves are stormy
and agitated. It is the greatest good fortune to
attain such serenity--to be lifted above passion and
hatred, prejudice and fear, greed and discontent, and
yet to be able to attend effectively and capably to
one's worldly duties. It is possible to reach this
state. The seeker may have had glimpses of it already.
Someday, sometime, if he is patient, he will enter it
to stay--and the unimaginably rewarding and perfect
purpose of his life, of all his lifetimes, will be

Abandoning Attachment...
"'Having abandoned attachment to the fruit of action,
always satisfied, independent even while engaging in action,
one does not do anything.
Hoping for nothing with soul-controlled consciousness,
abandoning every possession,
performing action with the body alone,
one incurs no guilt.
Content with spontaneous gain, transcending duality,
free from envy, indifferent to success and failure,
even when acting one is not bound.

What is Food ?...
"What we eat is radiation; our food is so much quanta of energy," Dr. George W. Crile of Cleveland told a gathering of medical men on May 17, 1933 in Memphis. The energy we obtain from coal or oil is solar energy trapped by the chlorophyll in plant life millions of years ago. Silence...
Yet the deeper we travel, the less need have we of
thoughts and words, for all multiplicity collapses in
this marvelous unity. We can neither think nor talk of
this sublime state with any accuracy. Hence the only
medium whereby we can properly represent it

WHERE CHANGE BEGINS...
An old mystic said this about himself: "I was a revolutionary when I
was young, and my prayer to God was, 'Lord, give me the strength to
change the world.'
As I approached middle age and realized that my life was halfway gone
without changing a single soul, I changed my prayer to, 'Lord, give
me the grace to change all those who come into contact with me,
especially my family and friends, and I shall be satisfied.'
Now that I am an old man, and my days are numbered, I have begun to
see how foolish I have been. Now my one prayer is this, 'Lord, give
me
the grace to change myself.' If I had prayed that right from the
start, I would not have wasted my life."

Motivation is very important, and thus my simple religion is love, respect for
others, honesty: teachings that cover not only religion but also the fields of
politics, economics, business, science, law, medicine-everywhere. With proper
motivation these can help humanity…

The Superconscious Mind...
French professors were the first in the West to be willing to scientifically investigate the possibilities of the superconscious mind. Professor Jules-Bois, member of the L'Ecole de Psychologie of the Sorbonne, lectured in America in 1928; he told his audiences that French scientists have accorded recognition to the superconsciousness, "which is the exact opposite of Freud's subconscious mind and is the faculty which makes man really man and not just a super-animal." M. Jules-Bois explained that the awakening of the higher consciousness "was not to be confused with Coueism or hypnotism. The existence of a superconscious mind has long been recognized philosophically, being in reality the Oversoul spoken of by Emerson, but only recently has it been recognized scientifically." The French scientist pointed out that from the superconsciousness come inspiration, genius, moral values.
