' Surface Tension'...

Jackson Peterson - ‎Dzogchen Discussion

Have you ever noticed how certain insects and water spiders can run around on the surface of water?

They can do that because of what's called "surface tension". Because of the surface tension the bugs don't fall into the depths below.

It's the same for us. Because of the surface tension produced by our conceptual beliefs and thoughts regarding our imagined self and imagined things our consciousness remains trapped on the outer surface of consciousness.

When that surface tension is released by cutting through the minds imaginary beliefs, suddenly our consciousness drops into its own depth far below the surface.

We remain trapped in our "heads" as long as the surface tension of our enduring conceptual designations and beliefs aren't seen to be "empty" fictions.

When the empty and fictional nature of all of our conceptual beliefs and stories are seen clearly, suddenly the surface tension breaks and we fall naturally into the depths of our own hearts. Here we find peace, joy, love and real wisdom; a wisdom that can't be captured or known by thought.
