' spiritual ego identity'...

An authentic and direct, experiential glimpse of reality, (not to mention a more abstract, conceptual grasp of it) whether momentary or even a more stable seeing of it,

can be quite effectively used to set up a very intractable spiritual ego identity that is by far the hardest ego identity to see through and let go of.

If someone gets fixated in this place of pride and spiritual materialism, it is very difficult for them to snap out of it.

This difficulty is at epidemic proportions in the post-modern spiritual scene and is something to be very careful and conscious of.

It is a veritable plague of a dis-ease that simply does not seem to respond very well to any treatment.
