To Richie...

Tomorrow is a day of sorrow and joy..

Bitter-sweet..

My old friend Richie Havens died and we are going to spread his ashes on the grounds of the original Woodstock Festival..

I would often go to the site each year and meet him at the monument..

He felt a deep attachment to the Love that he felt there, and would return each year to try and feel that love once more..

I once sang as a backup singer with Melanie when she first began and would see her at Woodstock also..

She also felt the deep love that Woodstock represented..

The world has fallen deeply into egoic consciousness since then and that is why we all suffer now..

We could not keep that Love alive..

So now , we honor the death of one that refused to let that Love die, Richie Havens..

God be with you , Richie...
