We hear this expression that you must first love yourself before you can love others..

What 'Self' is being spoken of ?..

The 'Real Self' or the 'false self'..

The 'Real Self' is the Divine Consciousness that We Are..

The 'false self' is the ego that we believe that we are..

Therefore, It is the 'Real Self' that is feeling love and compassion for the 'false self'..

Compassion is Love that recognizes the pain that the ego endures by being ego and even agrees to share

this pain with ego, as Love is the dissolver of egoic pain..

This is Loving yourself before you can Love others..

Love is the state of non-egoic consciousness..

Loving the illusion until the illusion fades is returning to Reality..

The illusion of ego can only exist when Love is not present..

Love your 'self' to death..

As Jesus once said;

" you must die to be born"...
